The Mini F9 Camera is one of the best "cheap" cameras I've used. The quality in low light and normal house light is good enough, but the outdoor quality during the day is great! It focuses on close and far objects easily. It switches between light and dark (sky and ground) areas very quickly.
This is no GoPro. If you are expecting the same performance from an $60 camera that you do from a $300 camera, you will be disappointed. If you have this mounted on your helmet where you can't see it, instead of noises, you can feel the buzzes to help figure out what the camera is doing.
The camera is light enough that is can be used on aircraft. My sample video on my quadcopter is a little blurry because there isn't any anti-vibration between it and the frame. There will be less vibrations with some foam between them.
Note: To turn off the date, you can change "RTCDisplay" from "1" to "0" in the config file in the root of the SD card after turning on the camera with card in it.

I have same camera mounted on my motorbike, works great once you figure out how the buttons work and don't forget to format the SD card. So once charged press the front button for a hold until the camera vibrates, now use the rear button for either camera or video capture. Red light only is camera so press the rear button to take photo. When both front red and blue lights are showing you are on video recording. I could never figure out the date/ time setting as it never worked.

Thanks! I'm really happy with mine. The only negative thing about this camera, which isn't even really that bad, is when what is being recorded switches from real bright to real dark. It takes maybe about 1 or 2 seconds to adjust. I do really like it though. My brother-in-law took it skiing and his videos came out real good.

Nice review! I had bought this cam and had trouble with it. The cam charged well though the micro usb but my 3 year old asus with windows 8 would not recognize the cam. I went to Add a Device but the cam does not appear. Any Ideas?Thanks for the review,Doug.

Finally, a GOOD review of this camera! Thankyou. I think I'll go ahead and buy one as an MTB and hunting footage camera, since my Replay XD720 died. Replay have no budget option anymore and as such they have priced themselves above what I'm willing to spend.

Not to dissuade you from this camera, but one other camera you could look at is the RunCam2. It is rectangular instead of round, but I think it is a little better camera. They are around $80. I guess it depends on what you are trying to do with it. Hey hi again i got the camera really nice everything but since day one i cant get it right withe the settings and video to see them in my comp mac. I did some settings i found online updates too so i guess i got it now but the avi files videos if i want to see them i can only see one minute or two thats it is there any thing u got to do to see them i need to convert the avi to somet else play them in what .can u give me some help w that please in a few day this cam is getting me creazy

i have a problem if anyone can help, the camera work's well,mounted on my kawasaki bike,the problem is that when i attached the camera to the laptop there is now file such as 'set up file txt' there is only one file (DCIM) only to show my recorded videos,any help?

Good video. I have this camera, it is very nice for the price. I have done some very long videos with it while cycling. The only thing I dislike about it is that the mic picks up a lot of wind noise and while on a trail the bicycle noise travels to the mic. Again that to me is the only drawback. I installed a piece of foam to try and cut down the wind noise but it didn't do much.

I'm using a 32GB card. I have mine set to break up the videos into 3 minute videos. This makes them easier to edit but I lose about half a second between files.

Fantastic information! Thank you. I have a couple of questions. Is the clasp strong enough to withstand the constant vibration of a Harley (I would hate for it to fly off), can the videos be downloaded to a cellphone somehow for those who don't have a computer, and lastly will the videos be smooth and vibration free on a motorcycle? Yes, you have to put on a different firmware on it. It keeps recording but creates a new file every 3 min. You have to put them together when you edit the video. At first I wanted longer videos too, but then I changed my mind and went back to 3 min videos because they are easier to edit later. Longer files require a faster computer and my computer couldn't handle the larger sized files.

Yeah, it can charge and record at the same time. You can use it as a car camera if you want to. It seems to last about 3-4 hours recording. I usually run out of memory before battery power.

So it only records for 3 minutes? Or every 3 Minutes it makes a new file that can be stitched together to make a long video? And also how is the sound in windy conditions?

It makes a new video file every 3 minutes. You can put them all together to make one long one. I changed to 45 minute files for a while but my computer struggles editing them. It does a lot better with 3 minute files. I think it loses a frame or 2 every time it makes a new file but the end video still looks good.

Octavio Silva I was using whatever came with the SD card. Mine is a 32GB card and I used it in my phone until I got this camera. It seems to work real well.

Well Travis, here I am 8 years later. I just got mine from Amazon yesterday. They advertised that it came with a 32G micro SD card, but it didn't. I contacted them and I'm getting another camera tomorrow. Do you still have yours ? Anyways I'll give it a spin and see how it works out.

Just got mine unboxed. They have reduced the accessories now. It didn't include the charger head, handle bar mount and one other. I hope the quality has improved and you didn't mention anything about the battery life

i got one bike mount and one other mount with mine, no charger or the like. you got a better deal. cameras are shite for serious work, mine has a hiss on it. but good enough to risk playing airsoft lol

That's not a big deal infact,for the price,all the things come with it and video quality i think better cam than this u wont find out there. Im looking for a cam like this for a long time. im not that crazy to spend $400or more in go pro or something else

I don't think it is. My camera gets its time off by several minutes after a week or 2 so I'm occasionally having to resynch it.

I am pulling my hair out why, why, dont anybody give a visual demonstration on how to configure the camera with a pc in order to receive your video images. All i am getting is uploaders giving a demonstration of taking the frigging camera out the box and having a look at its wonderful shape and design. This camera is garbage. The cable is unique, not the typical USB micro sd, sd, charging cable. The quality is garbage. Dont think twice, BUY A MOBIUS C2, way better camera, spend the 80 dollars through HobbyKing and never look back. Mobius battery lasts about 2 hours, on a 32GB micro card it records at 1080 records for about 5 hrs. Have many features, flip view, motion sensor recording, fpv, etc. Stay away from this garbage Sport DV, 1080 BS!

What a waste of time watching this video! Everything you covered was easily worked out by any layman, what’s needed is directions on formatting the card, interrogating the card and downloading the data on the card. Also answers to such questions, (some already asked), as fixing to various helmets, handlebars etc, setting up in preparation for recording and or taking pictures. Alternatively, can anyone else offer any guidance for this camera please?
