I love making terrariums and enclosed systems, but including an actual moving water feature isn't always the easiest task. I'm always imagining new way for it to be done and in this one, I show you a different way.
Although I've done it before, I personally think this is one of my best ones yet! The water flows pretty vigorously and the piece overall just has an appealing aesthetic to it. I think that's largely due to the use of Pagoda Stone and moss. The combination of the two and running water, just makes for a really beautiful design.
I want to know what you think, tough. Let me know in the comments and enjoy the video!

I've been working on this one for a few weeks now, but it's been in concept for much longer than that. I'm always trying to find new ways to do stuff like this and I personally think this is one of my best ones yet. What do you think? I just love the combination of the Pagoda Stone with moss an flowing water. Anyway, I had so much fun making this one and I hope you all enjoy the video. Have a great weekend SerpaSquad!

I use polyester yarn to make areas on branches wet. Just stick one end in the upper reservoir and it will wick the water through capillary action. Use polyester felt cut into strips for more flow. It never clogs you can use whatever color you want to hide it better the mosses rhizoids attatch to it and it doesn't rot.

What kind of cutting knives do you use to cut through the expanded pvc. Also what is the thickness of the pvc sheet? 1/8” or 1/4”. I like the packaging knife because it looks sturdy and I don’t want to cut myself. 💛✌🏻

I'm going to be honest- I've been avoiding your videos for awhile now. It's nothing you did; I have pretty severe chronic depression and I was really getting into building my own terrariums, but then finances and life took a toll and I had to put my hobby down. It's been really tough, and watching your videos made me want to do so much that I couldn't do. With that said, today is dark and dreary and I needed something verdant and beautiful to enjoy, and I decided to watch this video. You never disappoint, Tanner. This is brilliant, beautiful work, and I'm glad I'm coming back to the channel now. :)

I hope you’re doing better! I just made a terrarium for very cheap. It was 4 dollars (USD) for the container, 3 dollars for the substrate, and 7 dollars for the sphagnum moss. Unfortunately I can’t afford to put any other plants in it, but I think it goes to show that you can definitely achieve something special with very little.

Ever since I first learned about aquascaping, one of my dreams has been to mimic the fjaðrárgljúfur canyon, the Fimmvörðuháls trail, and the mossy lava fields of Iceland. I still haven’t done it, but I’m always trying to find someone on the wide web who has. I think you absolutely nailed it in this Jungle Cloche and the Mossy Book Nook, even if you didn’t realize it.

The hardscape on this steup has got to be one of my favorites! When paired with the moss, this cloche becomes three-dimensional. The new space must be powering your creative juices, Tanner. . . 😅

This turned out great! For these more intricate terrariums, have you considered 3D printing the waterfall/drip frame? You could print the overflow and drip plumbing integral to the structure itself, and even parts like the pump area mesh could be printed in place. It doesn’t make sense for your large builds, but might be worth a try for these small jar builds.
@LuckAqua
@LuckAqua Год назад
Good idea but 3D printing could be actually hard when we have to design the model before printing.

I must say, I really love your channel and everything you've been doing! I've been looking for more inspiration for my own plant setups, and I haven't found any other channel that's quite like yours. They're very informative, but most importantly, they're so focused on the piece as an artistic project which is by far the best part! It's less like a tutorial, and more like you sharing with us a glimpse into your artistic project and I really appreciate that. Really looking forward to see what you do with your new place, awesome stuff!

Best mini water fall yet. I like that you only did one branch with the airline tubing becuase it splits up the textures. If you put it on all of the branches then they would all have to be covered in java moss. I think the variety in textures is a good natural balance.
