This is my first design for a new system for home brewers who want to use mini kegs with their own beer.

Thanks for the feedback! I’m still working on a usable adapter that doesn’t leak. I’m slowly getting better at 3d printing but still have some kinks to work out. I’ll keep you updated on my progress and let you know if I get a working product. Thanks!

Oh wow, what an awesome innovation. I am just starting homebrewing and got several of these kegs. I've watched your other videos where you used the disconnects. Those videos are more more recent so I am guessing have superceeded this, but this is such an elegant and more compact solution

Yeah I’ve hit a wall with this tap system. The problem is the 3D printer I have can’t make a prototype that will be airtight under pressure. I’ve looked into having them molded professionally but unfortunately it’s very expensive. I love this idea but don’t know how to make it work right now. Thanks for watching!

I did contact a few companies about manufacturing some pieces based off my prototype. Unfortunately it was way to expensive for me. The minimum was 10k. I am using a new system now for carbonating. Basically just a mini keg and co2 tank. I use it mostly for carbonating water as I’ve slowed way down on drinking. @@MyProjectWeekend , thank for the reply, I have retired from drinking and tired of change seltzer bottles. Unfortunately I have and OVER engineering issue, so my project will not only be plumbed in, refrigerated with a KRUPS mini keg, a large CO2 tank (I have access to 100lb tanks, but doubt I will go that high), a myriad of solenoids and valves, a Arduino controller and a plumbed in tap for my Keurig. One of many projects on the bench. will check out the new video

I’ve received quotes from 2 companies and unfortunately it’s too expensive for production. Can you tell me which parts specifically you’re having a hard time finding? I could put them together and get them on eBay for you.

That looks great! The only thing I can recommend is for it to have an MFL thread or ball lock post for it to be more versatile. Cheers!

Robert Humphry yes I used a 3d printer. I’ve done a few prototypes and still have a problem getting it to hold pressure.

It looks like a good solution - a lower profile would be nice (dispense on the side instead of the top). I already made my solution - so I would not be purchasing (unless it was at a sweet price point )

Was there any further development on this item? I, like other commenters, hate bottling day. I am looking to start using mini-kegs for my 2 gallon batches.

Hi James, unfortunately I’ve hit a wall. I talked with 2 manufacturers about making these pieces and the minimum order is in the 10,000 range which is pretty pricey. At the moment I’m looking for another way to 3D print them airtight or another manufacturer. If I find a way I will definitely make a video about it! Thanks.
