Thank you for this, I've had issues with keeping track where to put my next bead messing up my bridge and leaving holes in my rows sometimes. This is a huge help.
I am using a regular size bic lighter. To cover it I use 48 bead then I divide by 3 which makes 16. I take the 16 off like you do, but when I start on the first row it doesn't cover it. What am I doing wrong
Hi. The first row, will not go around completely. Only after you begin to add the remaining Beads. Also, what size of beads are you using. Keep in mind that different brands of Beads will be different sizes.
I usually start with an arms length. But go with what you are comfortable with. If it is too long, the string may tangle more easily, making it not enjoyable to Bead, as you'll be spending time detangling.
I'm trying to understand why you set 42 beads on and then take off the last 14 ,canbu please explain as I am trying to make beaded cases and undertones your teaching very well until this one part, pls let me know thank u
HI there. I take the 14 off because, when I re add them, this will create the "drop" in the stitch. It took me a long time to figure this out and get it going, but once I did figure it out, I enjoy this stitch. Thank you for watching
Hi there. I tied a loop around to start. This helps me to get started. When I finish it off, I untie the loop, and go back into the weave. This helps to secure the bottom.
I would suggest to add your own variations to the pattern that you would like. I wouldn't recommend copying this pattern and selling it as your own work. Feel free to use this video as a learning tool. Its fun to create your own patterns or color schemes. There are also lots of cool designs on pinterest, that I have tried. If I do copy a pattern, i usually gift it. But thank you for wanting to use my pattern.
Take your string of beads and wrap it around the lighter. Ensure that the number of beads can divide by 3. Then remove 1/3 of those beads and then you can begin. What size of beads are you using?
@Lori Garcia if it the smaller Bic lighter then size 11. Thank you for your correction. I used the size 10 for the larger lighter. But yes, it will work for both sizes..
