This is such a good deal--especially for party favors. An individual frog now is almost $10 a piece, and you get all the cards, packaging, and you get to use actually delicious chocolate?! I literally cannot see a downside to this! Such a great find! 😍
You also get the option to get creative with colors and fillings rather than being stuck with plain old solid chocolate. And make as many frogs as your heart desires.
If anyone does this a tip when melting chocolate you're gonna have to temper the chicolate for it to set properly and get a good snap when you bite in to it. These would actually make great Xmas gifts for friends and family.
Those look great Cherry! They make me want to make my own! ☺️ When I do make them I’ll put a bit of parchment/wax baking paper on the bottom so it’s between the card and the chocolate frog that way the box and card don’t get ruined by melted chocolate ☺️
To properly melt chocolate you need a pan of water and a double boiler to fit in the pan. The water should not touch the boiler. The chocolate will melt without burning. Your way the chocolate can burn same using a microwave.

I have a small one quite like yours and we cook everything on it, it's so simple to use and so fast! "It's got a magical bottom" 😂 The fact Dumbledore is gone from his card, I love it 😂 And the crunch and the "I got chocolate on my Albus" were a perfect ending to this video 😂 This was really cool, the kit is awesome! Cherry just a tip for the chocolate. It is better to use the method bain Marie in Italian we call it bagno Maria: you stuck a smaller pot inside your bigger pot. The big pot will be fill with water, the small with chocolate. In this way you melt the chocolate evenly and you don't burn it. Sara Nena DIY

i thought you were supposed to boil water and then use a mixing bowl. put the mixing bowl on top of the boiling water and melt the choco in the mixing bowl.
That's right, England is having some of the hottest weather in their history no? I'm personally from Texas (on the boarder to Mexico) and at times it goes a little above 100 degrees here. Not saying this to brag, but I know that some people aren't as used to the heat as we are. Please, remember to stay hydrated, have a cool water bottle if you can where ever you go or a nice cold drink. Stay in shaded areas or carry a sun umbrella if there’s no shade where you're going. So it's better if you double boil basically boil water and put a metal mixing bowl on top. Double boiling stops scalding which is burnt flavor just a tip. You can also use Pyrex glass to show off on camera.

I was expecting the kit to include the melting chocolate . . . Anyways, I'd've used a double boiler with something that has a pour spout to melt the chocolate & I d put wax or parchment paper between the card & the chocolate frog in case it does get melty

Next time use unflavored spray oil (Lightly!) in the mold, so that they release easier. Now u have one more thing to impress people at your Hogwarts Halloween Party Also you can make dark chocolate & white chocolate frogs for variety 😋 Yum!
Just a tip, use a double boiler when melting chocolate so it doesn't burn. I love my induction burner. Instant on/off heat, even heating, and portable. I use mine for canning outside in summer to avoid heating the house. This looks so cool with the cards and boxes.
I did do a Harry Potter party for my son one year made my own chocolate frogs and printed off the boxes and did Bertie's every flavor beans in the boxes too and made my own wands
