I was cleaning my keyboard on my wifes laptop and thought I broke spacebar. But to make a long story short... I fixed it by looking at your video. Thank you man!!!

OMG You sir are the BEST!!! I came home to find my "R" key mysteriously removed from my laptop and the right pin on the inner plastic insert broken. I had no idea how to fix it but thank God for your very patient and clear tutorial I managed to get my key working again even with a broken inner pin!

Thank you! You hit the part that everyone else leaves out, which is the orientation, top/bottom (or back/front whichever way you look at it) of the hinge. So the little bump hint was the "key" so to speak to know which way the hinge goes toward the board or away. Thank you!!!

Out of so many videos for fixing keys, yours had the key logic-"to take a side view"! And that clicked !! Even though I was working with a different model and smaller key(up arrow), it just helped me figure out the mechanism!!! Thanx a ton!!!

YOU ARE MY GODDAMN HERO! I wasted like 2 fucking hours trying to insert this fkn key, I lost hope and started to look for new keyboard. I came YT like fuck this I already lost my time, maybe some1 will help me and HERE YOU COME. I thought those 2 pins are supossed to lay on second part and create "spring". Very clear instructions. The visuals and commentary in your video are excellent and the best I found. I had two keys V and H which were not completely detached, just sticking up at odd angles which made typing difficult. It turns out, the pins of the smaller hinge piece had come out of the holes in the larger piece. Watching your video I was able to put things right in a matter of minutes. Thank you so much! I have a fully functioning keyboard again.

geez! 3 yrs ago,out of frustration- i ditched my IBM Thinkpad.in a closet because nomatter how much itried, i couldn't getthe keys to stay on the board.First the left arrow key, next to go was the home key for a while i had saved the keys, intending to fix them later; but i started tinkering with t, now it's in a thousand pieces. lol tnx for this posting, methink you saved a samsung npp149, from a similar fate

From the bottom of my aggravated heart, I thank you. I could not figure out what I was doing wrong! I didn't even take the key off on purpose. For anyone in my position: his explanation, and even most of the visuals, translate to the Gateway NE-522 with the exception of the orientation. Side note: Ever feel like you knew exactly what you were doing until an hour later and you're ready to scream?!
