Great solution! I recently replaced my belt line tape that I'd put on to de-chrome. It's a tedious process but not to difficult.

Schöne Lösung. Wie sieht die Dichtung den nach ein paar mal Dach öffnen aus?

Cheap fix as you say bud. But if you're keeping your Mini !! I can highly recommend the kit from Minimayhem, 👍
