This summer I have been lucky enough to travel to some of the most beautiful countries on earth. Sweden, Denmark, Canada, Alaska, Norway and Germany and on my travels I have collected mini treasures to use in my miniature projects ❤️
Since I’m fairly new to miniatures, this was an exciting video for me. I thinking of all the ways to find miniatures that aren’t “dollhouse miniatures “. You gave a lot of great examples. Part of the reason I like your channel is because you don’t always stay in the room box. I loved the Little Mermaid pool you created. I’m glad you’ve found a way to create that’s for you, although I love that you share your projects with viewers.
Thabk you @llcleary I am literally always keeping my eyes open for tiny things. One of my favourite finds for "non miniature" miniatures was in Greece & Turkey. Then have bookmarks and mouse mats that look like runners and rugs. Incredible! I bought so many 😅 Mini things are everywhere if you don't mind them not being official mini items. I am obsessed 😬
@kindhearted88 that would make way more sense than giant thick whiskers 😄 I love that little clock. When I first arrived in Munich I went into a shop full of the traditional German cuckoo clocks and I immediately started to imagine how I could build one so small. I was very happy when I found that clock so I didn't have to 😄
Great video and what wonderful memories of your travels this past year. I live about 3.5 hours away from Vancouver, B.C. I love our province, it’s beautiful here. We’re a bit spoiled with our weather but we do get nasty weather too. Looks like you picked up a lot of miniatures along the way. I will definitely look out for them in the future.🇨🇦
I do the same thing; pick up miniatures while traveling. I had thought the gnome that opened up could be made into a bbq, but you already bought one for the roof top. Can't wait to see the next video!
@kathysmelser4598 I love that you do it too! I don't think I could EVER go away and not keep an eye out for something mini 😅 😬 That is a fab Idea! Maybe it could be a BBQ for the gnomes though 🤔😬
I have ta, have ta have ta have it! LOL Made me laugh. Sounds like you had some really awesome holidays! And congratulations on your engagement, Xander! I'm truly happy for you and your partner. I'm happy to see you back and look forward to some future videos!
@marygatdula2744 🤣🤣🤣 my partner is probably tired of hearing me say I have ta have it 🤣😅 I am very much a person who has to have it if I like it because I would only regret it if I walked away and left it 😅 thank you Mary 🥰
Hello Xander, sounds like you've had an amazing summer, you got some super little things and memories to go along with them which makes them even more special. Printers trays are great for displaying small items, I've got one full of all sorts of things hung on my wall. Have a lovely weekend, Best Wishes from Yorkshire 😊
So happy to see you back Xander, you made my day. Very jealous of you getting away to so many lovely places with your special someone. Very romantic making so many memories. Looking forward to seeing what you get up to with some of these great finds. Thank you again for sharing your time to show us what you came back with. 🥰🥰
What an awesome summer you’ve had! And good for you for supporting local artists. Hard to pick a favorite but that set of cars and campervans is incredible. Can’t wait to see the additions to the Professor’s house.
I, too, collect tiny remembrances on my travels (as I'm not the photo-taking sort)..Thank you for sharing yours with us! p.s. some northern grizzly populations are smaller than those found in the Rockies, so your grizzly can be the correct scale
Loved your video, you need to go to dollshouse shows , you will find beautiful artisan pieces, there is minatura in Stoneleigh, or kensington dollshouse show, they have really amazing stuff! Thankyou for sharing! 😊
Hi! Thank you for showing us your secret garden. You replied to me (Michelle, but I'm using my missus account due to technical issues lol) in a previous video about the garden and the pond with the mermaid is more fantastic than I'd ever imagined!❤ I was planning on recreating my wifes garden but got too obsessed with details such as specific plants, so now its a fantasy garden rather than a replica. I too got the fish nail decals for a pond but have yet to make that as I keep procrastinating over the resin aspect lol I've bought some dog and cat figurines that I've painted up to look like stone as statue memorials for my dog and cat that recently passed using paint, pva, and a little filler and sand mixture. Love the doggy topiary...thats given me sooo many ideas! Great vid as usual.
Hi Michelle. I remember you telling me about it in one of the comments. Procrastination is such a bummer isn't it. I do it ALOT! I personally find making plants really intimidating so I can well imagine your struggle. I bet it's beautiful and your wife loves it no matter what plants are in there. What a beautiful idea to have your fur babies memorials in there ❤️ I now want to add one in my rooftop garden for my cat 🥰
@41:59 a friendly fyi....Ganesh and Ganesha are the same deity different regions will say Ganesha or Ganesh but they are referring to the same thing. So many amazing miniatures! I am sure your entire collection of things is legendary!
I am still feeling the effects of it all now 😅 Canada, Alaska and Norway were hiking holidays so they really took it out of me and Germany was all Go Go Go. I absolutely need a relaxing holiday to recover 😄
@Hbinky it was very weird. The atmosphere felt heavy. Everyone was aware of the protest happening in the square. People seemed uneasy. It didn't feel like people were having fun like EV 2023. When Israel came on people were shouting and protesting so the audience was looking at what was happening in the crowds. I watched a few people leave at that moment too. It was very weird. I went to EV last year in Liverpool and it was a completely different atmosphere. Everyone was drinking and having THE BEST time as you can imagine it would be at Eurovision. It's suppose to be a fun cheesy party. We're currently planning a holiday to Switzerland next year around Eurovision so fingers crossed we manage to get tickets and fingers crossed it goes back to no drama and it be a party for everyone to enjoy ❤️🥰🤞
@@craftsbyxandersuch a shame. I really hope that it was an anomaly and not the way things are going. It seemed like poor Petra was doing her best to keep it all together. Even she wasn't quite her usual self. As a TV audience member for 2023, I agree - Liverpool put on a fantastic party. And I love Hannah Waddingham!
