I'm guessing the guy you bought it from should give you some commision monies. I want one, my neighbor wants one and omg every guy watching your vids wants one too! LOL
I'm lucky enough to have a lift box, the truck is unique - it's light blue rather than white and the box is stainless steel and at least double the height of the standard box. Great for hauling garbage bags to our waste transfer site!
I think this is the first REAL review I have seen. Real owner, real work, real cussing. I trust your view way the hell more than some guy selling mini trucks. For a farm/ranch application why the hell would you want a side X side over Mini Truck similar to yours?
You could use Plasti dip to put on your front clevises on your winch, pretty amazing how it gets around get a small set of chains for it it would be virtually unstoppable
I've been driving past one of these for sale on my way to work for about about two months now. Like you I have my full size pickup and had my old V-8 CJ7 (which i miss) & my ATV's. Have never put a lot into these until tonight and watching your videos. I too am looking for a little work horse for my cabin to do some logging and road maint & transporting around the hills. You gave me some great info on what took look for (Lockers and so on) in these. Looks like I may be stopping and checking out that Lil Truck. Thanks for sharing!!!
Ha. That's awesome! The main reason I did the first video on this is because there was a ton of unanswered question I couldn't find. Please let me know how you make out.
I have a 96 Daihatsu, 2” lift with ceros tires. Works great on the farm. One thing I’m lacking is the hi-lo in transfer case. I’m from north east Ct. I won’t be able to register this one. I’ve been told that is because it was imported before it was 25 yrs old. Good videos.
I know this is unrelated but I noticed that the plastic window visor on the drivers side is cracked. I have a broken one also. If you should ever find a source, id like to know. I haven't been able to locate them. Again, good videos, looking forward to more. @@MotoCheez
Great video, MotoCheez. I was impressed with teh sound on the road. These aren't nearly as bad as some I've tested. I spend about 50% of my drive time on pavement so I've got both Carlisle All Trail in 23x8-12 (for spring and summer) and Yokohama Superdigger for fall and winter. I love the superdigger but won't buy another set due to the low availability and cost. I'm pretty sure the SunF you've shown will replace them when they go.
@@MotoCheez I put the 8" tires on the 4" wheels. Looked silly but...no, no but, it just looked silly. I've been looking into buying a set of STI brand wheels (I think that was the make). I've got a Sambar so my pattern is 4x100 which seems to be less popular than other models.
I will take those old tires off your hands!!! I picked up one yesterday and need to get a throttle cable for it and a key ignition switch for it. He said he lost the key and that's the only thing it needs? I hope so!!!! I don't have extra money to put into it until I get money for Christmas and my birthday. Anyways thanks for the vids. I want mine to look like yours its awesome!!!!
i had a 4x4 Suzuki Carry, used to load 1,000kg of pig feed in it and head up the mountain, the first hill was 5km at 13% grade, could only do about 30km/h in low but it never let me down. tough little trucks. mine had mechanical points when i first got it so i changed out the distributor, it helped alot with the hot start problem.
@@MotoCheez yap, i replaced the mech dist with, i think its called a CDI basically an electronic dist. you may already have one on yours in which case its likely the carb. mine was also a 550 cc model, but like i said they are tough little trucks i also had to change my tie rod ends often due to rough road conditions and heavy weights i carried frequently
You just need to Ausie that thing out with an external tube steel frame, LOL. I am really impressed by the off road performance! Kudos on the battery powered chainsaw. They are perfect for the sort of cutting you did in this video.
Another great video of the MINI TRUCK! I love the tachometer, I will have to do that when I get mine. It was alot easier than I thought it would be to install :).
It's crazy how much the camera hides how steep a hill actually is!! Add snow to the mix and hills dam near disappear on camera! I friken love that little truck you have, that thing is badass!! A few sand bags in the bed help with traction? Or is it not enough power for the extra weight? LoL, Just curious is all.
Man this thing is awesome! Have you though about doing some kind of lightbar set up? Maybe a bar on top and some smaller pods down low...take it off roading at dusk/dark? Maybe I missed this, but I'm assuming it doesn't have heat in the cab; you could add that with a small space heater somehow? Or maybe a heated seat??
Been working my way through the videos! Awesome! Just getting up to speed on mini trucks but think I saw pretty consistently that 24" tires are not a good fit? I am not nearly through all the videos, but is there something your did different in terms of lift to accommodate the extra inch of diameter?
In several Mighty Mouse cartoons, whenever he achieves the most impossible physical tasks, the narrator exclaims, first softly, "what a mouse!!!", then loudly, "WHAT A MOUSE!!!".
Moto, enjoying watching all your vids, and now I want one too! Quick question, did Amir negotiate on the price at all? Was hoping to get something off of their asking prices. Also, how is parts availability for yours? Keep on truckin'!
He did move ever so slightly on the price. From what I've seen, you can get most the parts you need they even have Japanese sites who have parts for them Thanks!
Did anyone mention trams that fit inside the folding sides or replacing the folding sides with ramps so you can get bikes and other things on top easy? I mean if you need them, that's a cool mod.
No tire rub at all. I'm going to do another measurement when I get the HD springs for the front struts. Thanks!🔥🔥 I bet it is good, I'ma have to find a Sandy place
CT you can register these. You have to go through inspection and they'll give you the OK. I haven't done mine yet, I did so many mods I'm going through VT for the little I'll be using on road
Gotcha! Thanks man, looking at them in Danbury. Believe it’s the same company but I wanna look into it more. Great videos! Been watching for a couple years now
1st. I apologise for missing this vid earlier, saw it but didn't watch cause u know that green monster (jealousy) raised his head but I digress... yeah I want 1... anyway suggestion instead of after market wheel/tire combo hack u'r factory set into rear dulley's...MINI TRUCK says" KING KONGS got nothing on ME"🌮🍺😎
I have the same hard to start when it's hot problem, have you fixed yours? What temp does your fan kick in? Mine only stays for about 10 seconds and kicks in at about 3/4+ of the way to hot
Mini truck, mini truck rollin’ on 24’s. Seems like weight distribution is good, but if you put 200 strategically placed pounds in the mini you’d be even more surefooted me thinks. Do Jeeps have independent rears, yet?
Yeah that's what I thought. Not the wranglers, still both solid front and rear axle thank God, but the Grand Cherokees and all the others have full independent.
It is nice to see Americans seeing the advantages off small 4x4s. Your trucks are far to big for 95% of other countries. Look for lada’s as well, tough little Russian jeep. Nice video
@@MotoCheez Aww man! I thought It sounded like diesel! torque monster! Still gotta Love Mini truck! (I can't imagine if you take a turbo out of another hijet and put in it)
Do these trucks have the ability to tow a small trailer? If so how much(not much I assume)? An idea for you if you plan on any hardcore offroading. Underneath the four corners of the bed you should weld in an short piece of heavy gauge pipe. Then build an exo cage that can slid into the four corners. You can make it lock in with pins. You could easily remove it for regular use, but it would provide protection in a rollover or possibly help prevent a rollover if you brushed against a tree on a steep angle.
This one is the harbor freight. It's pretty good for the $$ ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-2Lglzx4mYHk.html , the Milwaukee I own is a lit better, but pricey!! ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-refPwAG2IKs.html I did reviews on the 😁
@@MotoCheez Ok. One last thing if you can. I have 13" basic wheels that would not work for this. Any ideas on wheels? I don't like bling bling wheels but more of a Boomer off road wheel like an Ion or Outlaw II.
Thanks! No I have the 2". I almost bought the 3" lift but it would have binded the CV joints real bad, so got the 2", they barely fit without bind. The SunF tires are great off-road but noisy on the road.
Thinking about buying a 96’ Honda acty for 2500$ any advice ? I’m guessing I can get it street legal. I want to make it my daily work truck though for appliance repair.
Depends on state. Most places they have to be imported over 20 years old to be legally registered as classic import. Otherwise they don't pass safety standards.
I want to install the air shocks I got with the balance tube and run low pressure to see if it helps flex. Only issue is these Hijets have such a short driveshaft
It won't work with this style 4x4 because the front axle lock engages the 2 front axles, like the old Chevy vacuum style. So the left axle would always be engaged. Unless something else could be done
Please could you email me all the mods you have done and where to get them, you will forever have a friend across the pound, you have inspire me to do a father son project
If you catch them on sale you can get it for like $130. I kept mine in my Jeep for over a year, and I could tell you I've used it many times clearing and in emergencies, other people I Wheel with we're surprised how long the battery actually last
🤣 so have I, done Moab and hundreds of areas in almost every state from CT to CA to FL in my Rubicon. It's no joke, probably a 40 degree incline up this trail. Hard to see in camera
I guess I could, but the axle so far back it would have to be near tailgate. I think I found springs that might work perfect. They're off the rear of a tracker. A bit longer but heavier... I may try and cut down and try it
@@MotoCheez I noticed in the video that your rear tires were bouncing off the ground etc. Back in the day we used to put bags of sand over our old Ford trucks rear axle to give it traction in the snow.. and you could always use the sand on the road for traction if you were stuck on ice .. old school.

trackngo.com I realize that the price for this system is absurd when compared to how much the mini-trucks costs, but I think it would be hilarious to put a set on.
