I love the mini twists. I love installing them myself, I do retwist every 2weeks because if I don’t, ghurrrl we’ll be dealing with another story altogether. I love our 4c hair. It’s beautiful

Love mini twists and they are my go to as well. I have embraced and mastered the braid first and then twist. That has been a GAME CHANGER for me. My roots are stretched and tangle free and my twists seem to last longer. I do retweet’s my hair once in between washing too. I was my hair every 6-8 weeks

I braid mine at the roots too. But recently I tried the flat twist method that was super cute. It doesn’t last as long as my braid technique but it is more seamless and cute!!

I have been wearing african threading since early July. Before that I had some med/large (low/med density) braids. I recycled those parts and wrapped with rubber thread. I redid my hair last night strict5finger detangling and wrapped it back with my thread (was able to use the same thread (WOOHOO!!! 😊). I wear put-on/pull-off wigs daily. My hair is doing so well and I am most proud of my perimeter 🎉😊. I have been Extremely intentional with my hair since January and I see the fruits of my labor paying òff BIG TIME. Keep these vods coming Sis. Very inspiring!!!

Thanks for your helpful videos! Retwisting works great for me. I’ve just started doing this since I get my hair in mini twists once a month by a professional and wash my hair while in the twists weekly. Sometimes I have to fix twists that become too loose. Not as neat as when my stylist does it but keeps my hair moisturized and in the same pattern!

I keep my hair cornrowed in the front with braided plats in the back, and I keep my hair under headscarfs. Once my hair reaches a length I’m comfortable with, my goal is to try and wear loose twists periodically. My hair is course but fine with medium density, so loose twists will give my hair a fuller appearance. Great video! 🌺

I had small dreadlocs for 25 years and my hair grew like crazy. I got to where I wanted more versatility, so I cut them down to 12 inches and then spent a week slowly un-locing them. I enjoy being able to do a blowout, curls, twists, braids, etc from week to week, but am missing the ease of locs. This might be the best in between for me. Great video!

i upload you for the great work of unlocking your hair!!! how long did it take you? what was the condition of your hair? Girl mini twists are the perfect in between. I started wearing them out of necessity but realised I love the versatility and ease they provide. I will pen “The TWISTED NATURAL” to describe naturals that live in twists most of the time!🤣😜

@@CoilyDiaries It took 2 weeks of 14 hour days just slowly unlocking them with a rat tail comb. I was aching all over, but I was very happy to have it done. And my hair was in great condition. I cut off about 1 foot of locked hair (so about 2 feet of stretched) so no split ends. I soaked my hair in an entire bottle of Kinky Curly Knot Today. It was a little moisture overloaded when I was done, so I had to do a protein treatment.

@@CoilyDiaries I washed it every 3-4 weeks and put on a leavein conditioner from Renpure (coconut of some type) then put on a ginseng oil blend every other day or so. That's about it. Very low key. Retwisted the roots with oil and water every month.

I do more of a like a Senegalese twist at the base. that way it stays stretched and I don't have to switch from braids to twists

Okay that relaxing part was so cool, I’ve been struggling with borrowing hair when I’m either braiding or twisting and I can’t wait to try this trick. ❤ And how do you maintain your twists for FOUR WEEKS looking so fresh? 1 week and my twists would look matted😢

Hey hun I remoisturise once a week. With glycerine, I just make sure it makes up about 25% of the entire spritz so if am trying to make a total spritz of 100mls, 25mls of that will be glycerin. 1/4 part of the full mixture if that’s easier 🤗
