Mini-Z Body Kit for Skyline R33 GTR Unpainted Body Shell Discussion and Install

In this video I go over how I add a body kit to a Mini-Z Skyline R33 GTR plastic car body with glue and putty before painting it to put on my MA-020 RC drift car. I also go over some other car bodies I will make videos on adding wide body kits to them as well. I'll show how it looks after painting in a later video so stay tuned. To me, customizing different body shells for my Mini-Z's is half the fun and may not be for everyone. Some people might like other styles of customization for their car bodies which I respect since everyone is different, so just remember we are all car lovers at the end of the day, Thanks for watching!

Hey! It's awesome that someone is actually looking into these in the USA! I see that most of the kits on the official Garage Hiro site are out of stock and it doesn't seem like HRC Arena has a bit. What are other ways in obtaining these kits, considering how rare they are nowadays? Cheers!

The only other place I found them so far is RC Mart and they don't have a lot left either, so every kit is getting more rare by the day. Maybe one day Garage Hiro will start making them again but these kits have been around for years and I'm a little late to the party so I have to pick from whatever is left. I hope somebody else starts making these kits soon too so we could have more options but I could only imagine how hard it is to make them, you probably need a laser scanner and resin printer to pull it off or if Kyosho could make some out of plastic that would be great too but I'm not gonna get my hopes up for that to happen. If I find anywhere else I'll let you know but that's all we have for now, good luck bro, I hope you find something you want in stock!

@@TumpungMan I think I'm going to try my luck with mostly gunmetal and some green for a two tone look for the R33 and the R34 that has the black basecoat will have a midnight blue/purple colorshift I just did a day ago. Looks good just gotta wait a few days then putting the clearcoat on. Might be a few weeks till I can drop another vid though with work and stuff so thank you for your patience in the mean time.

I have a few videos I'm working on so when I get the chance I'll drop them one by one, I'm testing the Counter Steer gear ratios with the weights, but haven't tried the weights without the CS mod yet. It's alot of testing so thank you for your patience and I'm also about done with some bodies I just painted so it's hard to find time to get it all done as fast as I would like.

Just bought a r33. Where can i buy kit? Garahe hiro doesnt seem to have them any more. Any other places to check?

Thats funny cause I bought a R32 last night no joke to complete my Skyline collection, no body kit for the R32 though. Rcmart.com is one of the only places left with the G Hiro kits for the R33 as well as the 34 and 35. But there's a ver.1 and ver.2 kit for the 33 and they only fit the V-spec body not the Nismo so make sure to check that. Just type in Google "Garage Hiro R33 aero parts kit" and they both should pop up on the first page for the rcmart links. Rcmart sells one of the kits on ebay too I think

@@sirracer2005For real, they look good in black. I don't know if Kyosho paints any black from factory though so you might need to paint it yourself like I had to do but look around maybe you'll get lucky

@@sirracer2005There are some R34 white bodies out there still for usually around 30 to 40 bucks, just google search and places like rcmart or even some on ebay or US based sites still have them. Don't get your hopes up Kyosho will come out with a new R34 set anytime soon

Didn't need to add buckets, just drilled out some holes and lined up the Leds and held them in place with tape or glue. If you check out some of my other videos you can see my R34s with the lights on and they look good enough for me. Sorry I've heard people say it the other way so I never knew since I don't speak Japanese, thanks for the correction.

@@SmartFool24 So yea you definitely have a better idea than I do then lol I was just pronouncing it the way it looks in English but no worries now I know and will remember for future vids. Although I think I have a few pre-recorded ones I haven't finished editing yet and will still be saying it wrong in those upcoming videos :/
