Hi guys, in today's video I want to speak about the insane power that's within minimalism and how it affected and changed (and continue to do!) my life! Love, Isabel
I think it is very true that once you start decluttering you start asking what sparks joy in other aspects of your life and what things are necessary going forward. ❤
Def true. “Me” was buried under all that stuff. It seems like if we can’t prioritize what we love the most, then it’s more like a big blob or blurry or vague. I think it’s like the start of finding your inner resolve and kind of making our personal stand about what is important to us and what isn’t. And then that helps further clarify to ourselves who we really are. It helped me to more clearly see my own true preferences, while in the past I was pretty clueless about such things. And it’s just a great first step toward real authenticity. There’s really nothing better in life than being your true self and being very comfortable in that state.
I say, use whatever tools are at your disposal to make your life better. Not all of us are going to use the same tools in the same way for the same reasons.
For me Fumio Sasaki is foundation for minimalism, not Marie Kondo (although I think Kondo's book is very helpful). For me the word "excavation" is more useful than "decluttering" because it is really about finding your life hidden in/under your stuff.
