Here is a tour of my new minimlaist studio apartment in queenstown New Zealand! We were so excited when we found this place, it's perfect for us and we're so happy to be here. 😀
Since filming this video we have moved some things around, got a compost bin and all kind of other exciting and adulty things so I will definitely do an updated tour in the next few months. 😊

By the way, I (re)grow spring onions too, I put them in water until the roots are about as long as the ones on yours and then I transfer them to potting soil. Works like a charm.

That view is insane! WOW! I'd be out on that balcony 24/7! Very cute apartment, though it's difficult for me to grasp that level of minimalism, especially when I see a tiny closet for 2 and it's not even stuffed. I don't know how you do it, but I'm very impressed! You've created a lovely warm and welcoming home, well done.

What an awesome place and that view is amazing! An idea to keep you guys warmer is to use that fluffy blanket at the end of your bed as a top sheet, makes the bed so cozy!

Hi Kay & Dom, WOW what a view you have there and you have really made it look sooo cosy I bet you are glad you took your home crocheted slippers now Kay! Your apartment looks just perfect for another Hygge video soon I just loved your soft, soothing, gentle voice in that video! I think you should train as a Hypnotherapist one day especially as you have openly stated here you have had anxiety problems and therefore would be well experienced to help other people with the same problems that combined with your travelling experience would put you in good stead. I am looking forward to the video of how you manifested your apartment as well and whilst you are waiting for your Bank appointment how about a video of you cooking/baking something together! You definitely win the award for the most amazing view from your home. You will never want to leave with a view like that !! Such a lovely apartment inside as well. You are lucky you can recycle soft plastic. Australia used to ship our to China but they are no longer taking it so I guess it's all going to landfill now :-(.

You both choose a lovely apartment and its cool that it came furnished as well 😊 😊 The view though its amazing you get to see the water and that view everyday 😊 😊 Ohhh a tip with sheets as well if it gets really cold at night like it does in melbourne, have a look at microfleece or flannel sheet sets, they keep you super warm and are nice and cozy 😊 😊

Have a tip for the bathroom mirrow so it wont get fogy you can clean it with shayving cream just a suggestion wonderful veiw you have. Stay simple ☺

Did you pick up an electric blanket for your mattress? They don’t cost much at The Warehouse, and make ALL the difference in the cold. You’re right: you manifested a beautiful place. Thanks for the tour!

Hehe thank you was so nice to be able to share it with you 🤗 We have some really thick duvets on the bed and so we're nice and cosy while we sleep we just pop the space heater on for 15 mins before bed so get rid of the cold air in the room ❄️😂

Thank you so much 😀 It's very cold here it doesn't get much over 2 degrees celcius in the day time! It's going into winter now so it will get lots colder but it's nice and and sunny still and we've hardly had any rain so far 😊❤️

What a cool apartment! All you need and with a beautiful view!! Be careful though, with electric heating, most of these heaters require a lot of power and that may cost you a lot of money. :( Would there be any other heating options? Good luck and have a wonderful day! XX

That's such a lovely home! Just to mention TetraPak (i.e. milk cartons) is not recyclable in NZ even though it has the recycling symbol. That's because it's packaged in Australia where TetraPak is actually recyclable. Sad news :(

I know! NZ is too small to support a TertaPak recycling plan (sad). Also soft plastic is not recycled in NZ, it's shipped to Melbourne where it's turned into benches and plane seats which is theoretically a good idea and it worked at the beginning but now they are realising nobody wants to buy recycled plastic benches (also sad) so all the soft plastic just sit there... Sorry for the lecture! It seems you're into low impact/zero waste and I work within that field here in NZ so unfortunately I'm learning all these sad facts!

That's an amazing compliment, thank you! 😀 What a cool job you have! ✨ You'll have to let me know if you come to NZ 😀 renting here is ok, it's pretty expensive in Queenstown because of it being a ski village but I think the rest of NZ (apart from the big cities) its pretty resonable. 😊

If youre looking at buying foods like cookies and oats and cearals I know down south they have a place callled the bin inn. There are a few here in Wellington and they give you a discount if you bring your own containers! Yay Heres all their locations www.bininn.co.nz/store-locations

Nice housetour Kay. But heaven forbid why are you buying food in tins or deepfreezing. Is it not possible to buy everything fresh in NZ at a farmers markets say twice a week.

Hehe thank you 😊 We like to get tinned tomatoes, chick peas and kidney beans because they're quick and easy also buying frozen fruit is way cheaper than fresh berries when you're on a budget like we are but means we can still be nice and healthy 🤗
