I also loved that you actually showed the layout of the apartment and did overviews. A lot of youtubers have their cameras wayyy too zoomed in and move too quick!
Thank you!! I was afraid that I was doing too many overviews. So this makes me feel better about it lol . I'm bad a spacial orientation, so I figured I'd do as many overviews as possible to make it feel like you guys were really in the apartment with me. Aha. 💕😊🙌🏽
How did you find this apartment? What is the range I should expect to pay for an apartment like this? I want to move to Los Angeles so I am looking at services that would be best in helping me find something affordable and nice like this apartment. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching. I found this apartment on the app hot pads. Trulia, hot pads. And apartment.com are good resources. Also, roommate match! Depending on the utilities you want and the area and if you want a roommate or not you can expect to pay $1000-$1400 for a studio or renting a room. It's pricey 😭😭
I can't wait to live on my own. The idea of being a single women like myself, living in your own little space with your things, is an amazing thought. I can't wait to decorate and go furniture shopping all by myself.
That's a smart idea, like a makeshift bedroom...It looks like her bed wouldn't have fit in there though with her closet/storage though and then she wouldn't have any room for her clothes and things.
Maybe you can ask to make the full length mirror as a barn door that can slide away towards the front door, and scooch the entry table forward so it could slide behind it!
You should put the couch at the end of the bed facing that empty wall mount a tv on that wall then a couple small chairs on tv wall also and use your storage ottoman as your coffee table as you are now. They also have ceiling tracks you can put around the bed and hang a curtain to close it off if you wanted more privacy or som nice screens. Maybe a curtain to cover the landlords door with a chair in front of it or whatever you think would work. That's things I would do But you live there I don't lol. Over all I love your apartment.
This is one of the best studio apartment tour videos I have ever seen. Thank you so much for stepping back and giving us an overview from time to time. It really helped me Orient myself in your space. I hope you will do an update. Subscribed!
Lol 😂. I wasn’t a minimalist back in the day, so I accumulated a lot of stuff (shoes especially). It’s not a sustainable option for me to get rid of everything so I’m slowly getting rid of more stuff through clothing swaps or giving to friends. 😊 Hopefully I'll have less stuff when I film my updated tour 💖💖
Where the door is by the front entrance, that’s a door to the owners, I’d put a huge full length mirror there instead of a tiny one next to the closet. To cover up the whole door or most of it. Makes the space look bigger and covers the door up
I would have put the bed in the back room and put the closet outside or buy an IKEA large closet to span the wall in the living room/kitchen, then put a curtain up to block of the bedroom
Such good ideas 💖💖. I wish I could get rid of the closet stuff that's in there and replace it with something different. I'll have to ask my landlord if I can't remove it, because it was already there when I moved in 😊
Thrifts and Tangles you should use the built in shelves as a bookshelves and decor storage I agree with this layout that way your bed doesn’t smell like food too much but all in all amazing apartment I love my LA apartment too
Patricia King .....hmm perhaps he can store his close in all the extra kitchen cupboards, his toothbrush in the frig, and his backpack in the microwave.....lol We’re just kidding here so, please don’t get upset anyone.
@@defleppard-lover6298 sounds like a perfect ideal for the empty kitchen cabinets. I would do the same thing for real lol. Hilarious comment! We are just joking everyone reading this.
Patricia King ....hey I wonder if the boyfriend will help pay bills, and buy groceries. Or is he one of those type that has to eat out every-night, while stuffing his dirty socks under the couch. What’s your opinion Patricia?
Shelly Ash sista girl doesn't look like she's gonna put up with his bull. I hope everything goes well with them though cause if not he's gonna be homeless lol.
Your studio is adorable. I liked how you got stuff from thrift stores; it's smart to save money. You're very creative in how you use what you have. I also have a pad on the refrigerator to write down what I need from the grocery. I also have a little magnet holder for a pencil beside it. Very convenient. I love your hair.
I agree that there might be a way to put the bed in the laundry area. If not, then moving the couch to the end of the bed like someone else said is also a good option. 🙂
Sarah bearah well i don’t think her keys are like that, but I have keyless entry. Someone could actually “hack” it to create a duplicate key if they’re close enough to the key, and drive away in my car.
I love Ikea furnishings!!!!! I have always went there when I need something specific for my home and they have never let me down!!! And you can’t beat their prices !!!! I just love the look no matter how old I get. I’ve been shopping there for 30 + years!!!! Since my oldest child was a baby, time flies !!!!
I gave you a Like the moment I saw you, before even seeing the 1st minute of your video. You are super cute and more importantly have a wonderful cheerful energy. All the best dear!
I love your studio apartment!! It looks spacious, convenient and cozy! I'm waiting to get the key to my studio apartment, but already ordered my furniture and my colour scheme is the same as yours with the white and beige :)
I like everything about your studio apt. White is a safe, clean, bright & beautiful color.I love colors. They make life worth living, for me.Your compact, warm, cozy & practical kitchen was my favorite.I like lots of kitchen cabinets & other storage spaces, like you.Your voice is pleasant. You seem happy & grateful for your blessings. The world needs more humble & grateful folks, like yourself.Minor things are a blessing, too.Thank you for sharing your apt. I like the way you video taped the apt. You put thought & care into it.Keep keeping on.
If you ever decide to move out I would LOVE to take this apartment in the future. Know it’s a long shot, but hoping you’ll see this and keep in mind 😅😊
Actually you could make that laundry room into a office/bedroom and get a transforming desk/Murphy bed and then have hutches and wardrobes out in the main room. So many possibilities. It’s a great space to work with.
Please do an updated video for when your boyfriend moves in! Just curious because my boyfriend and I will be downsizing to a studio soon and I am scared lol
Ooo I’ll do one once he gets settled in. 😊 We definitely need to rearrange things since he brought his tv with him 🙈. There’s not a great space for it aha. But you and your bf will be fine in the downsized studio 💖💖💖.
I think you should move the wardrobes out of that area if they are not mounted, you could fit your bed in the separate room to have some separation especially since your boyfriend is moving in. You could even put up curtains around the laundry if you don't want to see it when waking up. Moving the storage all out to main area could keep you more organized as well I think most of the random stuff in the large wardrobe could also fit in the cabinets of storage you showed first! I have a 563 SQ ft studio so your video gave me more ideas to be more minimal in decor! 👌🏼
i would be so scared and paranoid if anyone else had access to my apartment or house. lol but great video btw. you’re decorating is some of the best i’ve seen for minimalist 😁
I’m in a tiny studio in NorCal, and have been looking for ideas. Your video inspired me and left me with a lot of great organization and storage styling ideas. Loved your hacks. Thanks!!
I think your apartment is lovely and bright. You have laid things out for best use of space and managed to make it feel cosy without being cluttered. I hope your boyfriend is a minimalist too to keep the ambience😂Thanks for sharing good ideas.
You must live in K-town. I have that same stripe pattern pillow. It's the pattern for my bedroom linens...pillow shams and duvet. It's made by an LA company using Italian textiles: Matteo. You scored a nice find!
If you want to keep the succulent alive I’d recommend another pot that’s wider and more soil that surrounds and secure the base of it more. Also watering it enough that the soil always feels damp but not soaked or brittle.
Succulents are super easy plants to keep alive, they require little care, basically just water it when the dirt is like bone dry and you'll be good. Also, if you plant the leaves that fall off you can grow another plant if you want more instead of buying them. 🙂
I actually love your apartment the way it is! I know everyone in the comments have given great ideas with the bed being in the closet space you have. But I'm such a clean freak and I like that the closet space, washer and dryer are hidden away. You've decorated it really nicely and I'm absolutely in love! ❤️
Your place is one of the best I've seen in a long time but you don't have to explain every little thing if people want to know they will ask you just go through it and do y random things but your place is great you're a good decorator..so refreshing
@@ItsTylerChanel Get a "Pythos plant" super hard to kill... if you see it drooping (frm traveling) add a cup of water & voila, back to life; also succulents.
I didn’t read through the comments, but you could put the full length mirror on the door that leads to your landlords house if they’ll let you. Love what you’ve done!
I absolutely love your studio! I think the best part is the color scheme. I have a family of 5 and we live in a basement apartment to help care for my mother-in-law. Unfortunately it’s really dark in the basement but we’re remolding soon and I will definitely refer back to this video for tips. New sub here, let’s stay connected.
What an adorable little apartment, so bright and cheerful! The kitchen is fantastic and the laundry room is a real score (Marie Kondo says wind up those iron and steamer cords:) I would probably make the laundry room into a bedroom also then use a large dresser in the living area for extra folded clothing storage with a tv on top. I hope that your bf is a tidy minimalist like you so that you will get to continue to enjoy this lovely little space♥
Aww thank you so much. I love the idea of converting the closet area to a bedroom. 💖 Thankfully my bf is pretty tidy and doesn't have a lot of stuff. So his stuff fit nicely into the space. I'll do an updated tour in a few months 😊😊
Move book shelve in front of side door. Hang a mirror or large art piece over door to cover window, or even a DYI panel and put a few string lights around or behind to glow behind covered up area. Or Decorate Door top to look like a window, put nice plant on Shelves. Hang some coat hooks behind main door for your purse, coats and keys. Maybe a narrow floating Shelf behind door Or move your desk there, use top side as window. Then you can use closet shelves as small office storage for bills and mail.
You have a creative spirit, The branches with jewelry was unique and eye catching, loved it, along with a washer and dryer which I would love to have....Your apartment is so pretty, and you utilize the space to well...so sweet, clean and lovely!
You have a cute girly apt. You probably need to keep your boyfriend where he’s at. Get a pretty floor partition to conceal your bed, especially when you have company. That’s a nice size apartment, a nice sofa bed would be ideal in there.
As an LA native (now living in a saner cheaper state) I can say she needs the boyfriend there for increased security. A few more locks would be great too. Seriously, living alone as a female anywhere in LA is a risk, I'm glad he's moving in.
This is probably my all time favorite layout and design I've seen yet. I absolutely love what you did. Some of these other studio tours are just way much. I applaud you. Beautifully done.
I absolutely love how you put your home together! It’s perfect , I wouldn’t change a thing. The brightness of the space combined with the color scheme makes it very inviting and spacious, it is the ideal studio size, I would love to find one that size with such a cool layout. Best wishes to you and your man!!! Enjoy 😊 your home sweetie!
I love your apartment. I just watched another video tour of a small apartment (I’m obsessed with these!) and she put some shelves between her living room area and her bed. She had baskets on the shelves for storage and plants on top. It was a cute way to divide the areas.
Awww thank you!! 💕😊💕. Before I moved out, my living space didn't really reflect my personality, so I'm happy to have a space that makes me feel at home.
It takes me back 30 years when I was in my first apartment. It was so small, and I missed home so much, it’s so nice you’re so excited. Your place is very cute. Hope you and your boyfriend were happy there. I see this was 3 years ago. I suspect you’re no longer there.
Having lived in too many big city including NYC studios, that bed area is begging for some type of makeshift wall system to separate it more (or even a full-fledged pressurized wall though that can get expensive). It can be done with strategic bookcases and/or curtains too. I just hate going to sleep while being able to see the fridge. But its not an issue for everyone and some prefer the more open feel. Nice place.
You mentioned in this video you were such a minimalist ....you meant with decor I'm assuming ...not clothing shoes and purses..lol..I agree with the other comments about putting the bed in back room somehow.. I do wonder what it will look like once you've added another person and their things in that space..
Love love love... where your bed is located... it all seem so liberated & free. I wonder how the dynamics will change once your boyfriend move in. It seems so perfect now.
