Alpha Arbutin Be Minimalist vs Alpha Arbutin The Ordinary Are So Different! I Tested Them BOTH!
Alpha arbutin is among the leading agents for skin lightening as it helps in pigmentation along with acne scars. Alpha arbutin is able to do this as it affects the tyrosanase that effects the melanocytes in our skin. When the melanocytes are maladjusted or get aggravated it can lead to excess production and deposits on the skin, leading to pigmentation. The same pathway is altered for acne scars as well.
Alpha arbutin is a version of the hydroquinone though it does not have the same cytotoxicity of hydroquinone. So its considered safe and very gentle in how it fades different types of pigmentations. It works beautifully for acne scars as well as melasma. Alpha arbutin from the ordinary performed just way better than the Alpha arbutin from the minimalist for me. This might be just cause I am so used to serums and use retinoid possibly making my skin more sensitive to Alpha arbutin action.

Never used ordinary so can't comment on the comparison.. Since I started using AA from minimalist I could notice a visible difference in my acne scars.. Its three months now I believe, although I have not been consistent with its usage yet it has given me remarkable results. . This video is unique and informative 👍

I've started using the minimalist AA since 4-5 days so can't really talk about its effects. I did used the niacinamide serum from the ordinary and it didn't do any wonders for my skin, it was just like a regular serum ( it felt soapy on damp skin though so I was skeptical whether the product was original or not). I bought the minimalist because it was easily available and very affordable for a student like me.

I used the alpha arbutin for minimalist for about a month. I would see my moisturiser come off in clumps everytime I touched my face after using this serum. Initially I thought that my moisturiser might be reacting to the serum, cos I used to apply a combination of excela moisturiser and the minimalist moisturiser, but then after a few days, I solely used the minimalist moisturiser hoping that there would be no clumping since both r from the same brand. But the clumpy fall off of the moisturiser did not stop until the day I stopped using the alpha arbutin serum. Now i"ve moved back to their nicinamide serum and things are back to normal.

Ordinary is always very good....maybe best as mid range serum...but I like minimalist...as at last minm some Indian brand is talking of science and making clear products...the comparison is very detailed and liked this video

Yours is such a unbiased review although I have been using the minimalist alpha-arbutin on ur recommendation for 2 months can see visible results on my skin. Going for minimalist as opposed to the ordinary is the sheer convenience of cost, and quick delivery factor plus knowing that the minimalist gives results is just sone pe suhaga 😁. I actaully have the alpha arbutin from them..its got a lot of fragranc. I dont mind fragrances at all but yeh toe bhahut jayaadaa hai..so i could not use it.

Hi rubina, AA from minimalist helped me in lightening some post acne pigmentations, but it dint perform against the very dark and tough ones. I still have them. I am in my second bottle and i think its been 3 months now.

are you using vitc and retinoid as well? if not adding those really helps. post this bottle of minimalist try the TO AA.

@@RubinaSkincare Yes, i watched all your retinoid videos, and have started 0.025%, It is AMAZING. What AA couldn't do alone, the scars have lightened faster after introducing retinoid. Just using it once in 5 days now. Its been 3 weeks now. Thanks a lot for ur content.

Very nice. Unbiased and properly executed (blind test ) comparison Not yet added AA to my skin care just using vitamin c serum from detoxie. I have dry skin and i apply requil ceramide and hyaluronic moisturiser and after 3 or 4 hrs i skin fells a litter stretchy especially my cheeks area rest is ok what should I use to overcome this . Please @Rubina ji waiting for your reply ♥️ my skin has become more on dry side after a facial treatment gone wrong disturbing my skin barrier in mid of March. Help me 🙏

lol..did I also not say that I am waiting for the derm to let me know its ok to try thier products. I dont know how much you are aware of the brand and the story...but they did begin with some products that were very questionable. After a few of us called them out- the packaging changed, some of these products were stopped.... So sab jan hith mein hoe rahaa hai :) Minimalist, post the changes has become a good brand and like most of thier products.

All three.., if just one and hyperpigmentation is the only issue then AA...out of the three actives mentioned this works the fastest with pigmentation...which is atleast 2 months of consistent use and proper sun protection during the day

Even with the best sunscreen the best option is just to stay away from the sun especially if you have pigmentation. Now you can try kaya, neutrogena, lacto calamine, la roche.

I hav just tried the minimalist one and finished only one bottle. No visible difference on the dark spots though it might be too early for it to show some result. Btw i loved this comparison💖💖 Can you please list some authentic source for buying the ordinary AA? Would like to give it a shot

Minimalist Alpha arbutin is not suitable for oily skin. Gave me and my mom break outs. Although, it worked v well for my dad's dry skin.

Thanks for sharing Srashti, thats good to know. I have dry skin and it didnt give me break outs and did give some brightness but not as good as The Ordinary AA.

Tanning is a natural process and some of us just tan faster....may be if you tan easily then try using an umbrella also.

i want to try minimalist but aloe juice doesn’t suit me i have seen many times whenever i use aloevera gel..alwys make rashesh or bumpy so i m scared..but oridanry ka bhi jadaa strong na hojy as my skin veryyyyyy senstive rarerly anything suit..so too confused ye sahi ya fir deconstruct ka arbutin along with niacinimide..now totl confuse🙃🙃need help 🤷‍♀️

I get it on amazon. The ordinary products now come with a blue number imprinted on the bottle so you can make it out from the fakes. the amazon link is in the description.

Try adding a vitc and retinoid if you havent already. But also try the AA from TO. its just different...

Hi Rubina, lovig your contents. Skin Type-Dry to Combination Why i get more acne on forehead and right side of my Face? My eyes burn with Simple Hydrating moisturizer. Can i use Boroline? but will it trigger more acne?

stop whatever is irritating your skin. moisturisers should never make eyes water or irritate them. Boroline as a moisturiser? not a good idea...its best for barrier repair. Chek my video on fungal acne to figure out what type of acne you have on the forehead...its most probably fungal/
