Minimoog + Roland SH-101 "Analog Blues"

** ADD "&fmt=18" to video url for STEREO SOUND!!! **
Just a little improvisation (Vangelis style...) with my two analog monophonic synths:
Minimoog Model D and Roland SH-101
I also used an Ibanez AD-100 Analog Delay and a Nord Modular G2 for Reverb FX.
It's amazing what it's possible to do with only 2 voices of poliphony and with no keyboard velocity:
just envelopes and filters...

This is the best sounding synthesizer demo I've ever heard. Why? Well, we all know the instruments are cool but this is just a stunning performance of a great piece of music. You raise the bar, sir :-)

I can’t afford this set up but I have a poly d and a s-1 and they sound great arranged like this! Highly recommend for those trying to replicate this sound!

This is so good it make me green with envy! I like the way you tweak the envelopes realtime to get notes to hang, very cool. I think it'll be a long time before I can save enough money to buy something real analog like these. Then I'd have to convince the wife, but it'd be worth it. Fantastic!

Grazie! Ho usato lo stesso effetto su entrambi i synth. Per l'hold, sul minimoog basta mettere il release dell' inviluppo al massimo. Sull'SH-101 invece c'è proprio un bottone hold...

If you're into vibes like this one, you should check Józef Skrzek - polish prog artist and his '70s band "SBB". Very similar sound, but maybe more fun with delay possibilities. Enjoy.

If you where going for the bladerunner blues, you have come very close , although given it your own twist made it more lightmooded instead of the dark mood of bladerunner. It's more like a city awakening in a phil glass movie (koyaanisqatsi). BTW is that a microsoft globe shining on your synth , i got one from a computer expo years ago.

shit!!! yesterday i was improvising on Gminor with my MFB synthII (small, unexpensieve although really nice, analog synth) and i got to play something really amazing... it result to be a movement on this solo... naturally it sounded so astonishing...

a very long delay and its slightly out of tune due to either a slow lfo affecting the pitch somewhere or just general instability on the sh 101, which is really surprising and ironic considering the mini, but the quality and performance are superb! :-D
