In this video I mine for gold underwater after getting lost in the bush. A challenging day prospecting turns out ok in the end a simple reminder that playing outdoors can be dangerous.

Hey to those that have taken time to watch this video what are your thoughts guys? This was a tough trip and I feel like I may have dragged the hiking out at the start of the video a bit long?? Let me know if you felt this while watching.

The wombat was great drone footage !! Tasmania is pristine Lmao when you were hiking in that clearing “Had to be a gold prospector eh?!” I know that feeling.. and when you mentioned how the beauty of the bush makes it all worth it..... nah rubbish I got a bad case of gold fever 🤒 LMAO If you haven’t had a day like that you haven’t had a serious case of gold fever hah I’m glad you hit those proven quartz stringers and found some color to help with the fever And btw I think the hike clips were a tad bit long but it’s really cool to see the Tasmanian bush so I don’t think any viewers really mind....

I would be happy as a pig in sh!77 just watching you cruze around in the bush, Tazzie is like a fantasy land to me, just amazing landscape! I do however fret a bit on the snakes. At one time in the early 90's I had over 100 snakes, I don't want you tangled up with any of those nasty mofo's you have down there.

Levi I actually enjoyed this one thoroughly. This gives a better representation of what it's really like out there. Great video mate and not overcooked at all in my humble opinion. Also re. the lost screwdriver - I drilled holes in the handles and tethered all my gear together. It does get tangled at times but you can just throw it aside knowing you won't lose gear. Unsure if it floats your boat but food for thought anyhow.

Levi, Your time hiking to the sight is very relavent! It shows just how dedicated you are in your pursuit of the gold. Plus, it shows the beautiful surroundings and the unique greenery on the side of the creek/river. Your trees, ferns, and general greenery is so unique to your area. It is beautiful to see your surroundings as you travel the back country. It also shows just how hard you are working to get the gold!!

I didn't mind the hike, you did all the work and I enjoyed the scenery..Lol Glad you got a bit of gold, a little over half a gram is a good day in anybody's book. Not coming across any snakes on that hike, is a good day indeed.. Thanks for the adventure Levi..!!

Just as well, You have that wet suit on You and don't get cut up to bits . Making best of lack of water, I detected a small but long creek yesterday finding truck load of wire bits, 2 bits of lead, and in one spot only, 6 bits of right colour in 45 min. Long for sniping when water returns, regards George

Awesome video that shows true challenges of hiking and prospecting. Walking across trees in the woods can be challenging. Hauled canoes 6 miles through the Amazon once to get to a hidden lake for Peacock Bass. WHen we ran out of water on the way back and stopped to cool off like you did, we realized we were bathing with a 8 foot Caiman. At least you found some nice chunky gold !!

I do love the hiking part, it wasn’t too long and your running commentary makes it worthwhile even more. Noticed all the holes at your knuckles in your gloves.. I have to get new gloves when mine get just two holes at the knuckles since my hands are so small... I also have done the overheated thing hiking in my wetsuit and had to hide behind a large boulder to drink all my water and cool down.. but as a lay there I used my pinpointer on a little depression and found our classic California 3” square nail....it is hard to rest when you have gold fever LOL

I like the way you say you checked the map!!! Like there's marked trails! Wondered if you ever got turned around out there - But you made something enjoyable from adversity & I don't think you did bad considering. (Like that guitar, too...!) Good on ya for persevering. In New Zealand we also get that broken ozone heat, it's something else alright. Cris on vogus shows a handy dandy water maker thingie that's the size of your hand, if you're not packing one you really should...i recon lol thanks for sharing, your landscape and wildlife shots are awesome, keep up the great work.

Hi Levi, You say not much gold! I would nearly give my left one to get that in a day. Two years of panning for 1 gram. I'm going to give that snipping ago once the water clears up from the bushfires and then the storms washing in all the ash. If I get one nice picker that would blow me away. Awesome video, it's not an adventure if you don't get a little bit lost. Last 2 times I went out there was a short period where I was worried I wouldn't be able to find my way back or get stuck. Even though I made it out empty handed it was still a rewarding experience.

Hello Levi, I saw all your previous videos till this one and this is most exciting when You dig gold from those quartz jaws! I know its diffucult to dig those gold out, because of sharp edges and very solid bedrock, but its just look so mineralized👌

Good video the bush is just beautiful and hiking and hiking and testing and finding nothing as a good portrayal of prospecting you always do really good camera angles and I know it's a lot of work to do the video period and then lo and behold a nice picker in the Moss. I wonder if there's flood gold in that Gravel Bar? The old-timers would go 3/4 of the way around the inside band and dig a trench across it to find the pay layer it's a lot of work period but a little different approach and might be fruitful

If it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Still got a few nice bits to keep the adrenaline flowing hey... Moss is huge in the states. Many videos on just processing moss, for fine gold though, not pickers like you got. Insperation /perspiration = gold. 😎✌️

Nah , loved every second mate , that's half the battle finding the right spots ,it's all about research finding the gold bearing creeks . But it doesn't hurt to try new ones because you never know someone has to find em , and it just might be you . You got some gold and i would be happy with that , it's always a good day ,but it's even better if your going home with gold , cheers mate .

I've been in areas like that 1 creek won't have a speck then go over to the next creek or draw and it will be loaded.

I think you was being kind to timber getters with regards to that landside. Was there a road up there? Yes a garret Carrot would work well. and that moss is a natural trap. Fancy getting lost wearing a wet suit LOL. I have never been lost (lately) I knows where the beer is and my bed is so I'm set.

Deen Parkinson I think it’s just fallen in the cracks of the quartz rather than a reef but I should do some samples to crush to be sure
