Minisode: Predicting Puzzle Difficulty with the Golden State Puzzlers 

My picks were Colors, Canadian, Ball Games, Horses, Wolves, Flamingos, 50s, and Photo… lol Cheering for yous at Worlds !!

I ranked 6 right, just had wolves and flamingos swapped. Surprisingly good 😀

It surprised me how much better busy images (like the 50s puzzle) get on 1000 pieces compared to 500 pieces. I guess they miss one key difficulty: a large block of the same color. The flamingos look much more simple at first glance, but they have a lot of the same texture and color going on. On 500 pieces, I would guess there would be almost no difference between them, because sorting all these separate small sections is less of a help if they are only 3-10 pieces each.

I loved this video and making guesses! Before I check out the times, I agree with Yvonne’s ranking.

100% sure that my times on these puzzles would not match your ranking.

I am not sure if this aged really well or very badly... 😬🤪 (Also, talking about it while doing the orange hell, peak humor in my book! 😄)
