*Love it! Keeps the room very **Fastly.Cool** . The manual states it comes with a year warranty and 5 year part replacement. The compressor makes the typical sound...small price to pay for AC.*

I just installed a Light Wave, which is similar to this. The video was helpful, but took a few shortcuts in prep, mounting, and programming explanations. It would be helpful to discuss the receiver mounting, transmitter programming, and use of remote.

What do I think? Fantastic video. The instructions that come with the fan aren't terribly useful, so I googled a youtube video and you came up. Boom Boom Boom installed. Great video. I think Minka Aire should just put a link to your video on page one of their instructions!

In the Instructions it says to tuck wires neatly in ceiling outlet box. In the video you have them outside. Is that normal? It makes sense because the receiver is in the way but I just haven't seen wires outside of an outlet box before.

Yes!! A reply to your Q would be so valuable right about now. Cannot figure this out. My new neighbors probably think I'm crazy given it's 4:11a.m. Otherwise, I'm getting curtains and returning this janky fan.

Hey I have a minka 96" it just clicks and does nothing, another guy on a forum said they have bad gears that kill the motor when you switch directions. Do you have a gear fix video?

Is there a reverse switch actually on the fan? I would prefer not to use the Artemis wall switch, but can't seem to find how to reverse the blades without it

I have this and have 2 issues: 1. I think my receiver died as when I press a button on the remote, it turns solid green, but nothing happens. How do you replace the reciever? 2. I want to see if my bulb is blown, but cannot get the glass off. Is there a trick to it? Thanks

If I only have a remote and no wall switch where is the slide reverse switch on the motor housing?
@Delmarfans
@Delmarfans 5 лет назад
Hi Michael, if you don't have the option on your remote, there may be a switch on the motor housing like you mentioned. If you can't find one, then your ceiling fan most likely does not have the reverse feature. Hope this helps!

Hello: You show the fan being installed on its own circuit on the breaker box. Is that necessary? Does the fan need to be on its own circuit, or can it share a breaker with other lights on the circuit?
@Delmarfans
@Delmarfans 9 лет назад
***** Hello! Thanks for the question. Yes, it will be very helpful if you install your fan with it's own circuit breaker box. The reason for this is when dealing with fans with lights, there is a lot of interference when on a shared circuit breaker (light flickering, fan making noises in some cases, etc.). To avoid this, we recommend installing the fan on a separate circuit breaker so it runs smoothly without any interference for the lighting application of the fan as well. Hope this helps! -Alexa

Went to replace bulb and now light and fan won't work. I have wall mounted switch. No remote.

I just installed mine but seem to have a problem. The remote will not turn the fan on, neither will the toggle switch (already on the wall from previous fan). I took the remote out and was able to turn on/off with the toggle switch. Do I have a bad remote or does the fan does not work with both remote and wall switch? If they are not compatible, how do I take out the toggle switch so I can use the remote? Toggle switch got black and white from from breaker and black, white and red connected. Currently the two whites are connected together (not connected to the switch), the two blacks are connected together and to the same screw on the switch and the red is on the other screw on the switch. At the fan connection, the white and red are bringing the current (white is neutral and red load).

So both wires on the switch unite to go into the black wire from the wall? What do you do with the other wire coming out from the wall?
@Delmarfans
@Delmarfans 9 лет назад
Hi Dave Major, after connecting the ground wire, one black wire will be connected to the "power in" wire from the wall and the second black wire will be connected to the "fan power" wire from the wall. Hope this helps! -Alexa

Del Mar Fans & Lighting Thanks... my wall switch actually had a black wire and a red wire, powering the original classic light switch. I put the black wire on the power line for the new Del Mar switch, and the red wire on the fan line for the new switch.

I can't get the wall switch to operate the fan. Is it because we didn't leave the antenna out like you did?

Hi Tiffany! That's possible, I would check to see if the dip switch settings match on your fan receiver and wall control.

@ReitersBlock
@ReitersBlock 2 года назад
Make sure the receivers all have the same dip switch settings and that the settings match the dip switch settings in your remote (inside the battery compartment) It doesn't matter what the settings are as long as they all match.

Quiet. Moves air nicely. Works great outdoors. Looks good. One remote operates 2 fans together. They turn on and off at the same exact time. No wobble.
