One thing that really helps, I have found you need to let the boat come to almost a stand still before hitting spot lock . It makes a huge difference . Great video, I learned some things. Especially about turning off that beeper. Thanks!
*This makes my old motor look like a toy **enjoyable.fishing** recommend it's well built. I haven't had it on the water yet, but I'm very sure it will perform just fine.*
Good video and I found those same things helpful. One other is the North mode! Works awesome for cruising banks and staying on a heading especially into the wind or current.
I finally trashed my problematic Rhodan trolling motor and replaced it with the new Minn Kota Riptide Terova 100" 36 Volt/112 LBS thrust. What a world of difference, I should have done this in teh first year I owned the Rhodan. By the way, the new 2014 Minn Kota remote now does come with a waist clip also.
Thanks for great tip about legacy mode. We fish under oil rigs a lot. Now I know how to keep it from going bonkers. But surprised first tip wasn’t Lock/Unlock? I guess new users just need to learn that the “hard way” when spot locked in current … like I did!
do you find that running legacy autopilot over longer distance tends to keep you on a straighter path? my advanced seems to swing me back and forth quite a bit
Good afternoon. When turning the engine to the right, it makes much louder noises than when turning it to the left. What can it be? Here on video. ru-vid.comqCgITsiLa8g
Great tips I fish for stripers up in New England. I just got a new boat last year with this same motor. Like you I fish in mostly shallow water at night with eels and tubes . The fish like snook are very easy to spook . I appreciate your tips and advice thanks 👍
