So there's a video from Johnson outdoors "Minn Kota" saying that there are two style control boards. One with a ribbon wire and the later style with three wires. They say the ribbon style can't be repaired. Thanks for showing us otherwise and great video.

The only thing I would do differently is add is quick connect terminals to the ribbon cables so the wire doesn’t get shorter every time you replace the switch.
