Your video was the key to solving my problem. All I did was hit pause while deploying. I was just testing it. After it paused it would not deploy/stow. I tried both resets that Minn Kota describes. Nothing worked until I followed your fix. Thank you very much for taking the time to put this information out there. To top it off, I had a great day of fishing.
Hi My Friend First of all I would like to thank you sooo mucchhh.Two days ago we were in the middle of the sea at night, we had motor error on the remote controller, and it has been stuck in vertical position.Because of that, we are not able to park our boat.(3 times pushing the power button was not working). When we found your video (you were only the one who mentioned about that sensor), we did the same thing you mentioned and error has been removed from the controller and we were able to stow the minn kota. Added to that, I would like to give additional information.Next day, we made the calibration of minn kota, but when we try to use it, we received the same error.Then we realize that there is another sensor in opposite of the sensor.When we open it, we realize that two sensors are not in same direction.When me make them same direction and then the calibration, all of our problems have been solved.Now we are using minn kota and everything is fine. Thank you so much again for the details.You saved lots of time and money for us.Take care bro...

Thanks for posting this video - the pause issue happens during anchor mode and this works to get back fishing. Hopefully the cam sensor is the cause and a replacement will prevent it from recurring.

Well, thank you for the tip, I'll check the cam sensor . Have gone through the whole process of manually 'stowing ' the MK ulterra 40 miles offshore east coast NI, Nz. Currently trying to untangled the mess after carrying out a reset? Computer had some memory of maybe, some stored manual instruction and rotated thrust unit 90 degrees on 'stow' sequence...and jammed tight. Found your 'cam-sensor' by chance.....no thanks to MK....or any of the service agents.
This is an update. I found out why my ulterra was going into the motor paused. The cam sensor has that plastic piece with the magnet in it. They have a roll pin in one part of that piece and the plastic is cracked and that pin is loose so I have to buy a new part for it
This is been happening to me when I put my motor on anchor mode after 2 to 5 minutes. The thing stops working and remote says motor paused and it will not do anything. I turned the motor off and back on but it still doesn’t work and I am getting a clicking noise. When I get back home and try it again it starts working again. It just happens on anchor mode and minkota is no help

They "Did" send me a "New" trolling motor though. I settled with going from my 36 Volt down to a 24 volt with Side Imaging because the 36V was on back order over 7 months.
HELP!!!!! My last fishing trip, my Minn Kota Ulterra "paused" while deploying once it raised up to a vertical position. Mr. UnlikeU, I tried what you showed in this video and all I could get it to do was lower the shaft, not raise it and not allow me to stow. Unfortunately I have a tongue mounted step directly below the trolling motor while on the trailer. If I go down another 1/2", it will bottom out on the step. Any suggestions how I could get it to stow?????? THANK YOU!!!!
@Kevinbrighs2611. The goal is to get your Trolling Motor Remote out of the "Paused" position because with it talking the parts will move. You have a black plate underneath the mounted base nose of the trolling motor where you can manually press it for the shaft to stow. I will try to find you a video real quick. Main thing is to get it out of Paused. She will Stow!

UPDATE... I WAS CORRECT WITHOUT EVEN KNOWING IT!!!! IT'S CONFIRMED WITHOUT THE SHOP EVEN CATCHING IT!! IT WASSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS THE CAM SENSOR!!!!! IT WAS CRACKED AND HAD A RECALL.. IF YOU HAVE AN ULTERRA BUILT BEFORE 2020 THERE WAS A RECALL ON THE CAM SENSOR THAT HAS BEEN RE BUILT. IT'S FREE...
