I saw the video of “the Free Hugs guy” hugging police officers and talking calmly to the protesters. We need more of you in this world. Bless you and your important message 👏🏻

When I saw the rioting on TV I thought "I know hug guys gonna be there!" and here we are, thanks for your efforts they do make a difference.

I can't even blame the Minnesotan with the gun ready to defend his home. It's chaos out there. I hope everyone stays safe.

I think I met this man in Times Square 10 years ago holding a free hugs sign. I have a photo of him he was such a kind soul. I like to think this is that same man, still carrying that message.

For the marchers safety municipalities need to properly remove all garage, dumpsters and construction debris. Cars in the planned march areas need to be removed so that police can clearly see protesters and objects aren’t thrown causing mass casualties. If people are breaking off the group to cause damage we need to clearly see it happen so they are arrested. Police need to be blocking the intersections so cars can’t come through and drop off agent provocateurs or innocent people don’t get caught in conflicts. We can’t take the risk of a domestic terrorist using a car against civilians. If the march areas aren’t properly cleared we risk so many lives. Marching should be to rebuild a community and unite, we need to keep marchers safe.

That's where I disagree. I don't think a violent criminal should be glorified. George Floyd died by the hands of a criminal but he himself was a violent criminal who did very horrible acts to even a pregnant woman. He held a gun to her stomach why his partner pistol whipped her. He was on drugs. He was just a criminal.. I just don't think he should be glorified

Here's the thing - of course it's art. Even the graffiti is art. You cannot define art. Art is whatever you want it to be. Here's the thing about art though - art is also property. Art belongs to someone. In a public park, the art belongs to everyone. On the wall of your building, the art belongs to you. It is entirely up to you whether or not you want the art to exist on the wall that you built and you paid for the building of. That is your wall. You are the one who gets to decide if art sits upon it or not. Random members of the public are not entitled to create art on the wall that you paid for. What is mine, is mine. What is yours, is yours. Basic property rights. Basic civics 101. You don't get to steal my wall and put art on it, and it doesn't matter how meritorious the art is. If the mona lisa was painted upon the wall I paid for without permission, it would be just and right that I erase it if I so chose. Technically, me walking around butt-naked in the middle of the street yelling profanities could be considered art, if I were filming it for a tv show. Yet still, I am not allowed to walk around butt-naked in the middle of the street yelling profanities at random passers-by. The reason is because I don't own the street, and I don't have the right to force other people to look at my dick and balls while I yell cuss words at them without repercussions. This same reason is why you can't just erect art wherever the fuck you want.

Keep making a difference man. My mom is about to retire after 30 years of law enforcement and my dad is going on 31. I want them to stay safe in all of this

Exactly. He has murals everywhere. I hate it. It's not okay or appropriate. If they glorify and make a false martyr out of a 22+ year career criminal is disgusting. If I were the store owner where Floyd gave me a counterfeit bill, and it's my private property as I think it is, I would NEVER give permission for a mural of that thug on my store he tried to commit a crime. He never deserved any if the funerals he got...hell, decorated true military heroes or other historic heroic people never got that. And not everyone agrees with this BLM. Why don't we start painting White Lives Matter? Asian Lives Matter? Indian Lives Matter? Native/First Nation Lives Matter? Hispanic/Latino Lives Matter? Same goes for these BLM painted on public streets across the country. Totally inappropriate. Again, look to reasons stated above. Yet they want to deface, take down, and remove Confederate statutes all over the South and even in the North, which are part of history, is deplorable. Yes, most, not all, owned slaves. It was their culture and way of life. Not saying it was good but it is what it is. These generals and soldiers, besides the slavery, necessarily weren't bad people. They fought for their lives, way of life, beliefs (again not all wrong besides slavery), fought in other US wars before the Confederacy split, and were fighting for their newly split Confederate states/nation, doesn't make them bad people. Glad that one judge blocked (for now at least) the removal of Robert E. Lee in Richmond. And defacing all the super famous memorials in DC, including, Lincoln who helped free slaves!!!...yeah, Jefferson and Washington owned slaves so those monuments should go?, Monticello and Mount Vernon torn down, Washington and Jefferson struck and blown up from Mount Rushmore?? Any historic Southern plantation gone? Come on. These men did historic things for our country. Even lesser known people besides famous Confederate soldiers and generals or just plain Confederates, who before the war were just Americans and did great things for their communities, cities, towns, states, government, law, and improved health, law, society to a big enough degree and impact and importance that fellow citizens thought their good deeds and actions warranted statutes for history to remember their contributions as American citizens that they are now "cancelled" and evil just because they owned slaves (or maybe some possibly didn't even own slaves at all) . Come on.

When I saw you focusing on cleaning up this time around, I felt disappointed at first, but now I get it.
