This is my beard journey from baby face to solid stubble. This video describes the beginning of the beard journey. I really start to see some transformation as I go over the fourth month of applying minoxidil and using it to grow a full beard. You can start to see the minoxidil beard before and after my journey. Did you ever think about using minox on your head? I’m currently doing both but only using 1ml between the two so I’m sharing between scalp and face

Great question, I have considered it, but I choose not to. I will be uploading a video this week about my hair loss journey as well. I combatted hair loss for a long time and then shaved my head and realized I like being bald more after regrowing my hair out again.

when do you normally trim is it every week or month? and also when you trim at what length on the beard trimmer? you think 3mm every month is okay?

I trim every 2 weeks and 3mm is just fine! I would just keep it under 10mm length because any longer and the beard hairs may absorb the Minoxidil and could slow your gains.

i read somewhere you trim at 6mm how does that work i mean if you trim every 2 weeks. also should i try to growth it without trimming for two months so see my coverage then trim from there. which is better dermarolling or derma pen

@@torototsupreme2346 I use a 6mm guard and trim anytime it looks kinda scraggly which usually is every 2 weeks. You definitely can try 2 months, you most likely will get your answer after 1 month of no Shave. I did that twice for no Shave November to see my progress. Hey man, 3 months of consistent use twice a day w derma roll/castor oil twice weekly. No noticeable results yet, any thoughts?

How is your sleep? If you are slacking on sleep then you will be stunted too. You may also want to take collagen in some way. I personally eat eggs most mornings. Before I took caplets. Are you seeing any vellus hairs?

@@monkybeard honestly my sleep is not the best 😂 could be that. I do take collagen maybe I should increase the intake. Also switched from spray - foam last week so maybe that will make a difference

@@jesiahboodhoo7562 I use foam and seems to strike the balance for gains and side effects. Try and get at least 6 hours but shoot for 8 a night. Try for one week and notice the difference in your beard.

I do believe you.Asian ancestry people don t bear a solid beard for the most part.Certainly you even look way more handsome guy with your beard on.I m starting on with my process.With German ancestry myself -they re knwn for growing solid beards,I ended up with baby cheeks myself

Yes you can, I personally shaved until it looked decent as stubble. From there I just trimmed.

Any adverse affects with a syliac cleanser?

I can't use Syliac or hyaluronic acid for cleansers personally. I get a bad rash and acne from them. It might happen because both those cleansers and Minoxidil make you photosensitive so it could make you very vulnerable to the sun.

Great question, you can shave while using Minoxidil. I have found personally that I get better gains when I trim and do not shave all the way down. Results may vary though

@@monkybeardhow low do you shave it down to? And how far in? I’m on my first month of microneedling and minoxidil while taking biotin pills and it’s a mess and stringy still, would I ruin the progress if I just trimmed rn?

@@torototsupreme2346 I usually trim every 2 weeks unless I want to see how thick it can get. If you want it to absorb better I would recommend regular trimming. I just get curious and want to see haha

I feel my velus hairs have disappeared lol is this normal? I'm on month 6

Yes you are in between stages where the vellus hairs get shed and darker transition hairs come in

I started microneedling around end of Month 5 and into Month 6. I increased the depth every other month from then on out. If you see my month 6 and 7 videos you can see that my cheeks really start to progress and I attribute that to the microneedling
