Even before this new patch dialog, it was abundantly clear, to me, that Minthara never really hated Gale, or anyone else on the team. She's lothsworn-drow nobility. It's probably not easy to get close to people when most of your life your friends either tried to kill you, or you were forced to kill your friends. Plus, she clearly likes messing with people. She probably isn't really suggesting that they solve the food crisis by eating the sick and elderly. She probably isn't really suggesting that you 'disarm' a trap by sending the least popular person in the party to activate it. She probably isn't microdosing the protagonist with poison as they sleep so they build up an immunity. ...But you never REALLY know. The fact that you can acknowledge how funny she is, and she seems to approve, is telling.
I think they'd make a beautiful couple! They're both my favorite characters in the game. I admit that I never played it, I just watched many RU-vid videos and play throughs. Did anyone else had to laugh at Gale's face, after she told him, he wasn't good at keeping secrets? 😂
It's funny and sort of sad, that the Origin characters have touching great dialog with each other, if they are not romanced (Karlach with non-romanced Minthara, another example). But if one Origin romances another, the default Tav romance dialog is used. Except in some cases.
I'm honestly surprised the beard appeals to her, considering it's a very masculine feature (except in Dwarves) and Drow tend to dislike masculine things. Plus Elves canonically don't have facial hair anyway, so growing up she would've only seen them on non-Elvish slaves, or the occasional Duergar
Is it possible now to romance Minty after knocking her out and saving her from moonrise? I tried a while ago but it wasn't triggering any romance stuff.
You can but only in late act 2 and you won't trigger her sex scene. There is a way to have her and Halsin + trigger the scene even if you slaughter the tieflings but that is just a headache to do and makes Halsin say incoherent stuff about the grove.
I had Gale not romance anyone and had Minthara not romance anyone (no multiplayer) and then chose to return the crown to Mystra at the end, I started a new Gale Origin save to get this dialogue so it could be that pre-existing saves don't work with it.
I've played as Ascended Astarion, and at the party Minthara had lines for God Gale ("... fledgling god ...") while talking to me. The greeting was correct, these lines follow in the discussion of her crusade in the Underdark. Either a bug - as this wasn't the case before patch 7 - or Minthy is properly impressed XD
@@dalkay Oh, good to know. I hope the option to tell Jaheira about your romantic partner while answering her question about home in the epilogue got fixed as well (it disappeared after patch 7).
