Phil, that was absolutely brilliant, the animations fantastic and how good to hear the cast together again with the addition of Angela’s sister Veronica and Guy’s son playing John. Kevin Burns did a fantastic takeoff of Jonathan Harris. I loved it...keep ‘em coming. Let’s see the Robot back in action and the J2 back in space. Well done to Bill and those involved with the script writing, you can bring a 50 year old show back to life. 👍👍👍
Extraordinary accomplishment. Captured the spirit of the original series. Had it been live action it would have ranked as one of the best written episodes of the Robinson saga. Awesome replacements for June Lockhart, Guy Williams, and Jonathan Harris. It works! Clearly, a lot of LOVE and skill went into creating this. Please, more!!
I thoroughly enjoyed it as a lifelong fan how many of us haven't had our hand at writing to resolve being Lost in Space hugs to the Robinson family and welcome home You can see the love they put into this project love and hard work always pays off now that was done right
This is way more better and a great homage to the authentic spirit of LIS. Netflix should have invested in this, instead of the awful thing they produced. This is wonderful and is extremely fulfilling to a life long LIS fan.
@@shellygoldman8036 Kevin Burns has done probably more than any other single person in the last 25 years to keep the legacy of the original Lost In Space alive. He produced Lost In Space Forever; he obtained and restored the original Robot hero prop costume. No matter what you think of the Netflix series (I mostly like it, btw), neither that, nor the 1999 movie, have done anything to erase a trace of the original series... It's all still there for us to see. This cgi effort helps us remember and enjoy the original, and I'm glad that Kevin Burns helped. There's nothing wrong here, and a lot right. In the end, it's all creative arts... We can critique it, like it, not like it... But nothing is helped by oh-so-typical and uncreative troll postings that malign people's sincere efforts.
hamiltonpl, Do you know what you should really do? You should get those Space Family Robinson comic books and bring them to life in the same way you do these.
SO After the Junk Planet they landed/crashed on another planet Don and Judy got together have a son? What happened to the Robot???????? How long have they been on the planet???????? THIS IS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I was five when "Lost in Space" first came out on TV and I was hooked instantly. Very well done! You really captured the zeitgeist of this classic show. That said, I did raise an eyebrow when Will used a laptop - not very "Retrofuture." But they were available in the actual 1990's, so it's not improbable that they would have been part of the Jupiter 2 supplies. (As a sidebar, maybe Dr. Smith's quip could have been 'updated' by having him saying that he'll throttle the Robot's "Pentium Chips.") But what about Penny's HUGE reel-to-reel tape recorder . . . ?
TO HAMILTONPL(WHOEVER YOU ARE) IN THE 'MIRACLE IN SPACE' EPISODE-WHAT WAS THE ALIEN'S NAME & WHERE WAS SHE FROM?--AS A VERY LONGTIME FAN OF 'LOST IN SPACE' I THINK YOUR REANIMATION EPISODES ARE TERRIFIC-I'VE ALWAYS LIKED 'THE KEEPER' EPISODES
Most of the music (though not all) is edited from the John Williams scores for Season 1. The dialogue track is from Bill Mumy's unproduced script, which this cast performed as a table reading featured on the excellent Blu-Ray set.
AWESOME! .. THIS is the follow-up fans have been BEGGING for! .. Not the Netflix PC-Lecture version, with neutered males, or the awful dark film years back - both seemingly written by clueless WOKE feminists and pajama boys .. SIMPLE: Lost In Space is a cozy and thrilling 'WINNEBABO' CAMP ride with family and friends through the stars!
If they couldn't have done it better the first time, there was NO point computer reanimating it to THIS version! And WHERE did the grandkid come from?!
A thought and a question. In the original unaired pilot, the journey to Alpha Centauri would take 99 years. In the second pilot, the journey would take 5 years. In your series, after the J2 lifts off, we hear the family will arrive in under 3 weeks. I'm confused. Was the new fuel more powerful?
@ AT The 12:17 Time Frame you can hear the Mysterious Bell 🔔 sound Similar to The Episode Target Earth When The Jupiter 2 is about to land in The Planet of The Clones Prhotos
Yes I used the script table read from the lost in space Blu-ray set. Then animated from that. You should buy the Blu-ray and listen to the full table read!!
Is this based upon Billy's TERRIFIC (I think it was the 1980's) comic book series (IDG, correct? I have them all, in pristine condition)? I haven't yet watched this, but I just saw that all of the original LiS cast helped out on this, and Billy's... excuse me; Bill's work on that story was great - it followed on to the first year's story line (i.e., it wasn't the 'monster of the week' off the latter 2 years, but a semi-dark story about a family tint e to survive and dealing with adolescents and young adults and what're they supposed to do for companionship? I know Billy tried to get Irwin Allen to do a conclusion, but he wouldn't.😳🙄 The thing that always has upset me is that the comic book company doing Bill's story went bankrupt, and 🤬 his sorry was never finished. If Bill reads this, please; you've a terrific story (and I can't think of anyone better than you and your fellow cast mates) to do this!!! As for this, it's so cool to get both Cartwright sister's involved (I hope Ms Lockhart's ok. I know you were all very close with her. Please send her love and wishes), and last but not least, Don and Judy - the 2 of you need to get together (no offence here, but I'm gay and growing up I had the biggest crush on major West....'nuff said). To all of you, and your families, best wishes, good health and a happy 2021.
Was good until the profanity started. Degrades it and makes it cheap. Not a preservation of the original. Old TV shows were clean - even though the individual actors may not have been.
