Thank you. You just made a 65 year old man feel like he was 10 years old again. This was not only a great story but very well executed....please don;t stop with this one. There are more stories that need to be told!
Oh God! If I was a multi-millionaire I would throw money at Mr. Hamilton to employ the best effects houses in the world to re-do this in an even-more realistic way. As it is and within the limitations of PC software, this is just superb and brilliant. Like others here I was in tears watching this. Such a lovely homage to the original series and who would have thought Kevin Burns did such an impressive imitation of Jonathan Harris. If Kevin can swing it he should get investors involved in upgrading this into a feature film as there as aspects of this "episode" that could well do with extra exploration. Brave...a job more than well done!
I agree, but I would like to try it, with the best people, and do it without '"CGI!!" Like, there's going to be a remake of, "A Werewolf In London" If I were in charge, I would hire the best makeup and special effects people to make it without "CGI!!" It can be done. It might take a little longer, but would be worth it in the end!!
There aren't words! I've loved Lost in Space for as long as I can remember. It came on the air the year I was born, and is the first show I can remember. Finally the perfect ending to it after 50 years. Guy Williams Jr was so fitting. It was like seeing old friends after so long. Thank you Bill Mumy for giving this to us!
FANTASTIC!!! This brought a tear to my 61 year old eyes. Superlative execution in every area. Animation, voiceover, storyline, writing. I felt like a boy again watching the Robinsons on the family B&W Admiral TV.
Oh grow up you big baby! Wait...the Bloop is dead?! Oh, the humanity!😭 Actually, this was really good, wasn't it? Wish this is how they did the remakes and such!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC! LOVE WATCHING THIS ! THE ALIEN RESTAURANT IS AWESOME! EVERYONE INVOLVED MAKING THIS DID A OUTSTANDING JOB! THANK YOU!! ALWAYS LOVED❤ LOST IN SPACE. I AM 64 YRS OLD .😊
INDEED this is most wonderful. My heart really sank when Netflix did what they did. THIS is what all of us, to whom saw the show during its first run, have been waiting for.
THIS is exactly how Season 4 should have ended back in 1969. (They were scheduled to film, but Irwin Allen couldn't agree with the studio) The best part is that all the surviving cast members and family are voicing the characters. The guy who did Dr. Smith deserves an Emmy Award!!!!
I read some of the comments before actually seeing the whole video. This WAS my favorite TV show growing up, but I almost laughed at the people who said they were in tears! THAT was before I saw it myself! I, too, had tears running down my face once they saw Earth again! That just proves what a good job you did for this great tribute!!! The end twist was also great! It was great to throw in a classic “Smith Scream” at the end!!!! I don’t guess there will be a part 5, since part 4 was 3 years ago! That’s OK, this was great, (although I wish it would be continued into a series)!!
Good heavens!!! I cant believe my eyes!!! This is fantastic! Thank you Mr, Hamilton,Thank you Mr, Burns, cast and crew!!! And now, paraphrasing Irwing Allen: DO MORE!!!... please.
Oh MY God ! I Have Been Watching Lost in space from The Time it Aired. This Gem is Fantastic! I Have to say I Was Setting Here in tears when they saw Earth.,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, Then That Ending !!!!!! I forgot about HER!!!!!!!!!!!! I truly Wish Mr Allen Could see what you have done.. I think He would Be Proud.. To All of you Superb Job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Loved it!!!!!!, especially the shocking end with Sue England the female robot.Loved the show as a kid, me 60 years young now, and only hope you keep more of this animation coming. Absolutely superb!!!!.
Thank you so much !!!! I've waited 50 years to see my favorite space family....finally make it HOME to Earth (I was in tears when Earth came into view) .....and my Favorite Stowaway climb down those stairs and kiss terra firma !!!! GREAT SURPRISE ENDING !!!! Just Amazing !!!!!! Thank You, thank you.....
Very well done. I guess like most people here, I was 7 years old when the show premiered in September of 1965. It’s great reliving my youth from time to time with the DVD collection.
The 3D modeling on Judy was spot on. Makes sense she married and had a child. Poor Will and Angela’s character missed out on 15 years of potential relationships.
No words can adequately express the outstanding job you did! It took me right back to my 10 year old self in front of the B&W TV when the J2 lifted off from Alpha Control.
Johnathan Harris has a voice and manner that would be incredibly hard to imitate, but Kevin Burns absolutely nailed it. I've always loved Veronica Cartwright as an actress and she did a brilliant job of Maureen, sounding a lot like her. Thanks also to Mark Goddard, Marta Kristen, Angela Cartwright and Bill Mumy for reprising their roles, their characters were spot on after all this time, fantastic job!
I had tears in my eyes when the Jupiter 2 landed (on Earth?)! Oh joy, oh bliss! Hopefully before I die they will get back to earth in a made-for-tv movie...
This was Amazing! Had a tear in my eye when they got back to earth! This was way better than the 1998 movie, How Much Do I Love The Jupiter 2!!! In My Opinion The Best Looking Ship In All Of Science Fiction To The Present Day
Thanks for sharing your story and what a surprising cliffhanger as was done in the original, so cool because when they landed I saw the double 115 on the side of a building, now the story is not over yet...
This was incredible!!!! The greatest I have seen in a long time. Better than what Netflix is giving us. Even many of the original cast, and family of the original cast participated. I must have more please!!!!
This was great! And the one big question I’ve had for many years was finally asked of Dr. Smith, if only heard by one person. And they made it back home. I was hoping that the robot was there to arrest Dr. Smith for sabotage and murder at the very least. I was speculating, however, that this was all an alternative reality playing itself out and that Will was still in the cave with whats-her-name.
OMG this is Fantastic. Thank you so much for giving dignity to the wonderful world of Lost in Space Fans from the early 1960s. These episodes are truly wonderful. I cant believe that thanks to you the story goes on. Great Work. Great work Indeed. 👍👍
Awesome! The original writers and cast really played the nuance of their relations well and seeing Will and Dr. Smith playing chess - was just too much, I cried. Additionally, that final surprise at the end - priceless.
This was really great to see if only this had been a live movie and guy williams had been around to do it god bless his soul and rest in peace what a great ending I will always love lost in space. 🥳🥳🙏🏾🙏🏾😃😃😊😊
Thank you so much for this! To all the folks involved at all levels thanks seem inadequate. You can feel the dedication and LOVE that went into this and brought the show to life! The ending was a big shock ! Just when you thought the Robinson family could catch a break! Bravo! So many new questions, it can't end like this, can it? Regards.
This 66-year-old was ten years old again. This was awesome. Thank you, Phil Hamilton, Bill Mumy, and everyone else involved. Irwin Allen steered away from character development and emotions between the characters, but you nailed it. I just can't believe that after all of these decades there is an ending to Lost in Space worthy of Lost in Space. This was made by people who LOVED Lost in Space. It really shows. I was looking for President Ford Rainey to welcome them home, but I guess he wouldn't still be president after 18 years. Thanks and God bless you! -Pete Malik
A few years ago Bill Mummy wrote a comic book series which had the Jupiter crew finally reach their intended destination of Alpha Centauri and longed buried secrets came to light. "Journey To the Bottom of the Soul".
Just as GOOD as the Original . Please continue with this project . And to have the Alien Robot that they had trouble with in one episode was a really great idea . That was a PERFECT kicker . Another optional ending would have been that Space Command would change Figuring that the Story Line was getting too Campy and decided to go with the " Star Trek " motif . I was half hoping that a Huge Starship would have greeted them in orbit . I mean one Classic Sci Fi TV series rescuing another .
I came to this on a whim and was absolutely floored by what I was watching. Even more wonderful was watching the end credits and getting the surprise of my life when I saw who the voice artists were. (I watched this story slightly out of order, but I didn’t care.) Christmas came a little early for me (5 Dec., ‘22), and Christmas truly is the time for little miracles like this presentation to occur. Thank you for putting together this terrific tale.
By the Gods, you even have the original star field as well. You have everything covered. Well, with the some of the original cast here, I feel it's safe to say that this should be considered cannon.
Gate 115-NICE TOUCH! .I thought Gate 115 was just a clever reminder thrown into the mix, but I NEVER expected THIS ending. And so the adventure continues...
They don’t have the chariot no more for future planets when they have to land in the future, being they had no choice to leave it behind.. Great realistic graphics from the original series tv show! Thank you for the fantastic videos! Great job!! I hope more new videos come out & keeping the original series of lost in space. Awesome!
Oh man, when Don had no response from Alpha Control, it stopped me dead. The worst case scenario play out on Earth? Is anyone alive to welcome them home? Then the response came. Oh yeah, J2's a coming home. Then that ending😳
OUT FREAKING STANDING!!!. I think I posted this earlyer, but could it be that the Juipiter 2 landed on an "alternate" Earth??. This is very, very well done!!. Please continue this story!!. Kevin Smith.
What can I say, OUTSTANDING CLIFFHANGER! Beautiful job on the launch, space flight and landing on...Earth??? I felt like a 10 year old again. I'm still full of excitement! The chess game segment made me tear up! Wonderfully animated. It definitely left me wanting MORE! I also love the blending of the season 1&2 "last week, as you remember" with the season 3 theme. A clever decision that will please the fans! Especially the "same time, same channel" at the end. The little touches throughout were well placed as well. Like Robbie and the Robot Manual. A standing ovation to you and all your cohorts who helped bring this table read from the 50th Blu-Ray release to vivid life! I eagerly await your next project! My best to you all!👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍 Fantastic Job! ✌❤😊
Wow that was me first time seeing the episode... terrific ending 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼. I’d love to see more. It’s a shame this wasn’t included in the blue ray or box set.
I saved all my comments for part 4, just to take this in as an entire work. I’m making assumptions here, but I give great credit to Bill Mumy, since I sense a LOT of the story was written by him! I always felt he was the heart and soul of the show, and just “got it” more than anyone else! The whole “Family in Space” concept. There was more story and meaningful dialog for ALL the cast members than there was in the last 2 seasons of the actual show! Set approximate 15-20 years after the original 1997 liftoff from earth, we see the Robinson family evolved in meaningful ways, (an idea totally “alien” to the original writers)! It’s a shame the show didn’t even try to develop this way! This was a wonderful tribute! My ONLY complaint or criticism is the performance of Guy Williams Jr. I felt it was a well meaning gesture to include him to honor his father’s legacy, but he was just way in over his head. He didn’t sound like his father. Obviously not an actor, or even a voice actor, and sounded way too young and inexperienced to play the part. He only sounded older than the actor playing grandson Josh, and Josh delivered his lines with more authority than Jr. This just made John Robinson look weak. Sorry to even criticize this, since overall, this was a treat and delight to watch!!!
However, it did my heart good to see his name in the credits. And, oddly, though he sounded different from his father, I could hear that they were related.
WOW!!!! AWESOME!!!! MORE, MORE, MORE, MORE, MORE!!!!!!!!! Brought tears to my eyes yo see my gang again! Great story-line! Seriously, MORE PLEASE!!!!!!!!
Congrats Mr. Hamilton! You have plenty to use for a complete season of LIS, and the development of the characters has been wonderful! I hope you may take again the task of making new episodes. As you see in the comments, you have many fans waiting! Happy 2021!!
Kevin Burns as Dr Smith, boy ain't that the truth.... Extremely well done .. We finally have an ending.. A good one except for the last 10 seconds... .. The animation can always be improved, but we have the voices.. Mark and Marta did a great job, as did Bill.. They all did... Nice work!! ( That does not compute )
Even though I worked hard on the characters and the animation I agree there is room for much improvement given what I see is produced for Video Game cut scenes. I wish I had access to those programs and the skill to use them!! Thank you for the comments.
You did a phenomenal job!!!!! The story is great, I really hoped the very end would be serious.. Like those 2 soldiers taking the saboteur Smith into custody and Smith saying he wanted to pay for his crimes .. The animation you can always change and who knows, some day Digital effects will be able to make it look REAL.. Did Bill Mumy write this ???
Even I liked the end- and I'm a perfectionist: you know, finding fault in the upper/ lower deck dimensions, etc. But when the ship landed in the city proper with VIPs coming up to welcome them home, I said, well done.
Thanks. You just made this 63 year old's day. I felt like I was 6 again; that is until I got out of my chair. Now I know what Dr. Smith was complaining about all those years . . . .
That Dr Smith was Right on, could not tell the difference!!! Enjoyed it very much, kudos to you and the orig cast voices. Sorry June L , Guys voice was not there but still a very enjoyable 4 parter with the "Hook".....I will certainly STAY TUNED!!!! Bryan
What a great series it was almost like it was real I hope after all these years there would be a successful recreation of the original show there's been several attempts but I would love to see the original Jupiter 2 and what would have happened after all these years I'm sure there's a market for it if it was more like the original '60s show
Extremely well done. Now that you have all the 3d models and software, you should ask for auditions for voice overs, for future episodes. Maybe get scripts submitted, etc. This is the new home of classic LIS! Keep going
Oh You Shyster. After all these years since watching Lost in Space as kid back in the 60's I thought, Hey, A real story about them getting home... Then the twist.. NUTS!... I love It!!
Astounding! As a Lost In Space fan since the 60s, I have to say this was SO excellent that I personally consider it to be a semi "official" episode (season 4, episode 1?).
Superb! Felt sorry for Penny, who must have felt awfully left out once her sister married Mjr West.... not too sure about her having his photo displayed in her quarters though! Tremendously well done to all concerned!
