I'm surprised they have another house already and it never crossed their minds to start packing and throwing stuff out before the move. The wife seemed quite dim and unable to grasp the point. Pity the outside of the house was still a mess.
With a small budget and not a lot of time they honestly do a very nice job updating these homes, the host is honest but helpful, it's a great show, keep in mind that it's an older show but some of the design is timeless and even better than the ultra minimal and super beige design of today.
Ugh....I couldn'tive in those houses .much less want to buy them the way they looked! Good grief ...it's not rocket science people. Sold 6 homes in myife and I always boxed up evrrything personal and spent to s of time cleaning, shining up surfaces whenever there was an open house or tour. Also paid attention to make sure it smelled great.
Yes, I got the same impression. She also lets her children deface the house under the "creativity" excuse, buy them some art paper! And even the new partners Real Estate friend mentioned he and the friend had tried to get her to clean up! It's her biggest financial assert, she needs to appreciate that and maintain it.
I have to ask where everybody slept in the first house after the beds were reduced to just one? They must have got access to their new house and moved everything there!
True, but somehow it didn't dwarf the room. The loveseat actually looks too small for a family. I feel a small sofa would have been better. Not a fan of the pendants over the peninsula, either.
Insane how much she was able to improve these properties on a tiny budget. She was always honest, smart and had a great eye. Timeless show, like a lesson in design.
It looks nice but in that last place, it breaks my heart to see all that beautiful wood trim painted white, especially the little pass-thru door in the dining room.
@16:49 that table in the way would drive me nuts it's blocking the passage way. I would have found a long thin or oval table. Or maybe even two storage cubes pushed together so I could move them when not needed.
My husband has questions: 1. they moved everything out. Is the price of storage included in the $3500 renovation? 2. Where did they stay during the renovation? They have 3 kids and 2 adults and we only saw one bed in the house.
