My Mom's Secret Family: • MEETING MY MOM'S SECRE...
Kim worked as a child maid and helper to a family with an American GI husband in Saigon in her early teenage years. Her mother lived in poverty and needed Kim and her sister's salary in order to raise her other children, so the two sisters were put to work. Kim had a chance to go to America where the family didn't allow her to go to school or go outside. She was basically a prisoner. Eventually, she escaped by faking a pregnancy and she had to move away to another state. When she came back, the family who brought her over disappeared along with Kim's background. Only the American GI's wife knew of Kim's origins but she was cruel and evil. She didn't even mail all of Kim's letters back to her mother. Her mother was never told of her whereabouts or condition. Years passed. No clue, no names, no known locations, everything was a faint memory to Kim until the family who brought her over's son was found by Jon after endless days and weeks of searching. He provided an important clue to the whole mystery with the form of an address and that's where I came into the picture.

Gospel of Jesus Christ John 3:16 For God So loved the world that he gave his only Begotten Son that whosoever believes in Him should not Perish but have Everlasting Life. Jesus Christ Died for the sin of the World, If you believe in ur heart God risen Jesus from the dead and confess him with ur mouth to people you shall be saved. Jesus said I Am The only way to heaven there is no other way! Repent of urs sins (Repent means Change ur Mind turning away from sinful things and being truly sorry for it.) trust Jesus and give ur life to him He Loves you cares about you more than anyone ever will! we are saved By Grace Trough Faith!,this is sin: Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death but the gift of eternal life in our Lord Jesus Christ. Romans 3:23 For all have sined and felt short of the Glory of God. For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness; because that which may be known of God is manifest in them; for God hath shewed it unto them. For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse: because that, when they knew God, they glorified him not as God, neither were thankful; but became vain in their imaginations, and their foolish heart was darkened. And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things. Romans 1:18‭-‬21‭, ‬23 KJV Or do you not know that wrongdoers will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor men who have sex with men nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9‭-‬10 REPENT OR YOU WILL PERISH REPENT AND BELIEVE THE GOSPEL GET RIGHT WITH GOD LORD JESUS CHRIST.

I got lost in China once - my god, it was after two AM, my Chinese wasn't good at the time and I was dead tired. I ended up finding a man who went out of his way to bring me to an address he thought was mine, there we found another man who brought me to another man who then took me on his scooter to the right address where I was supposed to stay with friends. I don't know their names but I experienced first hand when these people go out of their way to help a stranger. That stranger got me home safely that night, I was a young european woman that didn't speak one word Chinese, but they got me home.

He didn’t know her name, he only has a photo of him as a baby with his mother. He went back to his mother town and ask strangers if they recognises the women in the photo. After much asking, someone actually knew the women. The reunion was amazing. One of the best stories I have heard during my travels.

It's amazing how she was able to reunite with her family and find her dad's remained on her last days in Vietnam . And i personally believe it was fate and destiny that her dad's spirit was guiding her back home and helping her navigate by connecting with strangers for where abouts her sisters and mother. And his spirit would eventually guide her back to his burial site where he has long been waiting for her to come back home to Vietnam to find him.

We were there only American friends they would tell us. Our family became SO close to them. And, on a side note-we sure miss those "noodles" they always made us, too! And, that "fruit salad" they made (the one in which Half-N-Half was the base liquid in it).

Kim's story is almost identical to my mom's! From being kidnapped during the Vietnam War and basically imprisoned as a child maid to escaping to another state. They have since got in touch via phone (incredible story within itself), but she has yet been able to go back and visit. I used to ask as a kid why and she would always respond that she was scared and lack of money. It has been my goal since I was young to take her back home to visit. Although her parents have passed, I still want to reunite her with her siblings.

Wow. Just...wow. Kyle, this is a documentary worthy of a Pulitzer. I live through the horrors of the Vietnam war, with an American father in the U.S. Air Force. Beautiful video, and beautiful reporting. Thank you. ♥

This made me cry and broke my heart so bad. I had an aunt Kim who was from Vietnam, my uncle brought her to the US after the Vietnam war and the people did not treat her well and neither did my uncle but I was so little. I loved her so much and then she left him and went back and I never saw him again. I resented him for that for years. I lost her because he was not kind to her. I still miss her and hope she is well. My uncles name was Russell Anderson. Where ever she is I hope she is so happy.

This came on my recommendation, so I clicked on it not knowing what to expect. I was brought to tears seeing Kim getting to be with her family again. I think what you’re doing is unbelievably amazing. I showed this to my mom and it made it remember her childhood. She also lost contact with her mom and brother when she was a child. My mom was lucky enough to reconnect with her brother and mom again, almost 35+ years later. She was only able to reunite with her brother and meet him in person, but her mom passed away before they could ever meet. I hope you continue to help others in finding their identity, families, and closure.
