As an American the most amazing thing about this video is the walk in two hour emergency room visit that includes wait , consultation , and x ray. That's at least 6-8 hours here in the good old USA.

these reunion videos are always so sad but also happy. what i find fascinating is that the older generation has told the younger generation so much about the family members and family tree that even if they are so young that they never met, they still know who this person is. as far as vietnamese houses i've seen in rural areas go, i have to agree, their family seems to be doing much better now

Kyle: I really felt a twang of regret that I lost in a fire the only picture/address of a lady who worked on Bien Hoa Air Base 1968-1969. Her name was Huong and was from Cho Lon outside Saigon, I lost contact when I was discharged from the Army and my buddy who was still in VietNam lost my Mothers address. I am alive today because she looked after me and helped me through some rough times in Bien Hoa. I never forgot her and think of her almost daily. Your work is the Lord's work and keep doing it; your reward is the faces and happiness I saw in this video. I wish I could have been more helpful to her and possibly made a difference in her life. Looking forward to the reunion of subject family and your future videos. Stay safe.

My brother in law is a Filipino and was in Vietnam during the war. He is in United State airforce. He was assigned to a C-130 Hercules plane that evacuate the Vietnamese babies. Also, most Vietnamese boat people ended up in the Philippines before transfering to the United States. There are so many Vietnamese in the Philippines after the war. The Philippines helps the boat people settle in Palawan and Bataan, then the United States took them all in the Mainland U.S.

It's great that you're hustling, but all those gigs you mentioned aren't stable and indie/circuit filmmaking can even be a money sink on average. What about starting an agency to reunite families? Hire a few employees, and I can see you turning this into something lucrative (if there aren't tons of competing agencies like this already). You seem to be developing a nice reputation with folks seeking out your services, so you'd be skipping one of the hardest parts of starting up a new business. The family docs can naturally be part of the business. Lots of luck!

Think of it this way. Lots of people in the West are lonely and feel they don't have any trust or connection with the people anymore. People are superficial and value materialistic nonsense over human connection and integrity, loyalty. Money cannot buy the latter. People move oun of communities they don't feel they belong in all the time. People take pay cuts to be closer to families and friends, or to have a better work life balance. People take on lower paying work to not deal with horrible management or co-workers. Those are factors as to why people can be happy on less.

Hi Kyle, I love your videos. Love when you reunite families. I love watching videos like yours. I used to watch David Nostas (Busca Personas Latino), but he died last year. He helped reunite hundreds or maybe even thousands of family. I think he too started on his own but with time his business grew. People started finding him and he also started to get sponsored. He became very well known in Latin America. In the end he had a team that helped him work (help him search for info or any documents), he had appearances on tv, had many more sponsors and he was able to fly family members to meet eachother. Whenever I see you reunite families, I really believe you can really be like a David Nostas too. Become big, earn your money, have stability & more, and help people. You totally have what it takes. I feel like you just need to meet the right people for this to happen but I totally 100% believe that you can. However, I don't know if this is something you want to continue to do. Maybe you have other dreams, that is ok too and you should follow them if that's the case. But just know that there are people outthere who believes in you and believes in your work and that you CAN do it, you CAN make it. Just believe in yourself too. Maybe try applying for bigger projects outside of RU-vid that you thought was "outside of your reach". Throw yourself in the "depth", try new things, find out what you like and don't like and make new experiences. You can only learn and grow from whatever you do, nothing less. Wish you all the best

I've got to know my 2 uncles and grandpa's family "Mom's dad" Because of that, I knew that my interests came from him. No one else, my interest in electrician studies and motorcycles. I loved this video! I was a baby when I left vietnam in 1979 and this year.. in April 2024, I finally went back to visit Vietnam. 45 years has passed!. I went to Da Nang and Saigon. What a wonderful experience. Vietnam is such a wonderful country and everyone needs to see it.

Hello Kyle, thanks for doing the work that you do. I'm Vietnamese and I was born in Canada. My dad left Vietnam before the war to study university in Europe but my mom lived through the war and was only able to leave Vietnam after the war ended. After all these years, both of my parents never returned to their home country. For that reason, I would probably never visit Vietnam myself, which is why I really appreciate your Vietnam videos, as well as your reunion videos, because I can experience the country through your lens. I really admire your work, and how fearless and adaptable you seem to be. I hope you find a way to be more financially stable so that you can have more freedom to do what you enjoy. Wishing you success in your future projects.

I thoroughly enjoy these types of videos....families being reunited is truly beautiful ! A couple of years ago we found my wife's mother that gave her up for adoption 53 years ago. Once we found out her name, we asked our neighbour who had the same last name, he said that's my sister. Bullseye, we found her with the first call.

I just keep thinking of the unimaginable bravery it took to migrate abroad back when there was no internet, no wide-reaching cellphone service, heck, not even landlines in many places yes. Taking this into consideration and with lots of those places of origin plagued by wars and political unrest chances were so high to fall out of contact with your family and friends completely over the years. People went away for chances of a better life for themselves and their children, without any guarantee for success, but the price they paid was losing so many loved ones, the streets they played in in their childhood, the flavors of their home food, all the familiar faces and voices, the exchange between neighbors, the chats at the market and so on. It's a heartbreaking price that had to be paid back then. It's amazing you're bringing these people together again.
