This was a scene conceptualised for the final battle of miraculous & chat noir: the movie, however it was cut down by a large margin in the final product. Here’s a glimpse at what it looked like (with added music by me no less!)
HOLY CRAP I absolutely love and prefer the buildup here, with CN getting knocked out protecting Ladybug instead of just randomly getting knocked out-I think that would have been better, even though they were mad at each other at the beginning of the fight in the movie and CN tries to go it alone. I can definitely see why they didn’t have Gabe EXPLODE HIMSELF IN FEONT OF HIS SON THOUGH?!?! The poor kid’s been through enough. This storyboard is absolutely beautiful art though.
This is pretty sick ngl but I do like how Adrien goes in alone in the final cut. It makes him look cool and it makes sense with his current emotions being upset with Ladybug. In this cut, it feels like they are more close to a couple when they shouldn't be at this point.
The issue is that chat noir being angry in the Final Cut was stupid to begin with. They feel more like teammates here, while in the movie chat makes things worse.
*Gabriel after seeing the damage he's done:* ight imma head out The whole reveal was handled much better in the final product. But besides that, this animatic is so much more cinematic than what we got. Hawkmoth being a total maniac, Ladybug and Cat Noir facing him together, Cat saving Ladybug, Marinette finding her strength... it all makes for one grand finale. Only I guess Hawk Moth was too OP, so they decided to have Cat cataclysm the Eiffel Tower instead.
This scene is amazing! The teamwork, the crazed expressions on Hawkmoth, BREAKING THEIR WEAPONS, that swimming scene POV, all the people in Marinette's life flashing before her eyes and giving her the strength to save Chat Noir, the heartbeat in Gabriel's ears as he watches Adrien's unmasked face slowly turn to him like he did as a child... Gabriel hugging his son before he breaks his miraculous and gets CONSUMED BY ALL HIS AKUMA BUTTERFLIES (jesus christ thats dark). I love so much of this.
this is literally bash*t insane I'd make a wish with the miraculouses to see this fully animated LIKE... THE INSANE THINGS THE BUILDUP THIS WOULD HAVE ME IN THE EDGE OF MY SEAT... ESP WHEN HAWKMOTH DESTROYED THE YOYO AND BATON RRAAAAHHHH
Gabriel/Hawkmoth also seems and looks more twisted in this way too. Like. This is like if series gabriel wasn't so stupid while fighting the kids and needed only himself to do that.
10:40 WHEN GAB LOOKED AROUND TO SEE THE DAMAGE HE CREATED. WHEN HE HAS THAT TYPE OF STANCE AND VIEW FROM ADRIEN LOOKING. WHEN HE HAD THAT FLASH OF ADRIEN AS A KID. WHEN HE HAS THAT MOMENT OF REALIZATION OM.
That's a lot deleted, the movie ending did seem cut short like it was missing something, but it was still good enough to watch more than 3 times so far
I still wouldn't have liked the ending that much (I don't like Gabriel finding out it's Adrien and instantly reversing everything, and Gabriel just fucking dying was weird) but this build up was way better than what we got
wait so how does that work like season 5 episode like 26 or smth this is it but they cut it? too bad i cant watch that bc all the episodes are no in english past 21 rn no maybe 22 ill check later today
its from the new movie recently released, Thomas Astruc didn't write this movie but, Jeremy Zag, was confirmed as director and co-writer with Bettina Lopez Mendoza. Honestly a lot better than the series, highly recommend for any fans who were disappointed by the series..
@@noheroheretryagain837as a fan, I disagree heavily. Movie was disappointing tbh. This scene could of really helped it’s final act too. The movie has many issues that brought down its enjoyment for me.
@@charismaentertainer1657 Yeah, can't disagree that it had its issues. The one I hated the most was the montage of marinette thriving now that she is ladybug. But also I think it IS an improvement from the series. The bar for the series was so low that it couldn't get any lower yet they somehow managed to limbo dance with the devil, not only plot or writing wise but also the animation, character design and more. However in the movie, at least they tried, something I haven't seen in the series in a long time. I think it would've been better if they had more time or separated it into two movies. Most of their problems writing wise, came about due to poor pacing in my opinion, they were trying to fit in too many things at once. But even with these problems they managed to be better than the series at least.
