When did you apply back deodorant and what kind ?
@justmeagain7

Hello! how are things going now?. I am in my day 12 after Miradry. I noticed for the first time some BO on my left armpit. Before Miradry I didn't sweat as much as other people with heavy hyperhidrosis, but it was enough for clinical strength antiperspirants to don't work. I wonder if I am in the purging period. When did your purging period started? and: for how long did you keep sweating after the treatment? What deodorant do you use? when did you start to use deodorant again? Thank you for sharing!

@@blue-sb4wq she had it done last August 2022. It worked great, her stink went away (which made me very happy haha) her armpit hair almost all went away as well and she hardly sweats there anymore. I must admit I have been spooked by negative reviews of Miradry. My concerns: - Painful swelling and recovery lasting longer than usual. Mostly I'm worried about having to take excessive time off work. - The painful tightness or 'banding' sensation reducing physical mobility. I need my arms raised up for work. So this could be a problem. - Permanent lumps in armpits. What are the lumps? Cysts? Why don't they go away? - Its not always permanent. A lot of people report their sweating and odor coming back after the recovery period ends. Usually within the first year. Perhaps they just need a second procedure, however, if the first one didn't work why would you trust a second one to work? - Scary looking recovery images online. Some of the things I've seen, I hope are fake. This one guy had pictures of a lump that got infected and had to be removed. It looks like he had gangrene. He had to have dead flesh cut away. Again, I hope those pictures were fake. I know I didn't ask you any direct questions, but if there's anything you could tell me that might ease my mind I would appreciate it. Thank you for your video!

I had mine done last week..and the first night was so uncomfortable to sleep. You just need to keep icing it. There is now minimal swelling. I still have some lumps. It’s the same procedure; I got my first one 7/18 and getting my second in a few days. A few differences that I will note: I received single injections and I metabolize numbing really fast so there were a few areas where is did feel the heat of the laser but it was a quick super hot heat but then by the time I felt it, the machine was performing the cool sequence. I was really swollen for about 3 weeks as well. I did experience over 50% hair loss and it grows slower but it is patchy. With all that said, I’m still pleased with the procedure and was one of those who had to carry clinical strength deodorant everywhere.

@ZachBlumenthal
@ZachBlumenthal 4 года назад
Thanks for the honest and straightforward video! Were you diagnosed with severe hyperhidrosis prior to the treatment? I ask because I've had moderate to severe primary auxiliary (and palmary 😞) hyperhidrosis since adolescence. Since this isn't typically covered by insurance and treatments are relatively expensive, I'm trying to gauge the severity of hyperhidrosis with the number of treatments. For people who need x3 treatments (rare but would rather be liberal than conservative with the estimate), that could cost anywhere between $4500 and $10k+ depending, and the recovery for each procedure making it an almost 6-month affair. So ultimately I'm thinking it comes down to the severity of an individual's hyperhidrosis. Thanks in advance for your time and again for your insight!
@emmakendall8182
@emmakendall8182 4 года назад
Hi! So I personally didn't or do not struggle with Hyperhidrosis. Someone with sever Hyperhidrosis usually needs 3 treatments. When I got trained in the treatment, my MiraDry rep said she hardly ever sees someone needing more than 3 treatments and that's even including people that go through multiple shirts a day. MiraDry is definitely an investment but when you look at the large scale of it, it can truly transform your life if this is something that really disrupts your everyday life! Hope this helps!

I still need to do the second treatment. The lady I did it with was nice, but I felt like she rushed through the procedure and missed some parts. I am also trying to get a refund. Looking for another clinic that can do it better hopefully with better results for the second treatment. If the second treatment does not work, I will just do botox.

Now I’m feeling moisture on almost the entire armpit & odor. Smh. Today I put on deodorant for the 1st time.😒 after seeing your video, I was hoping I was in the purge phase. How long did the rep tell you that phase last? Since you’re the only person I’ve ever seen talk about that phase & you’re also the only person I’ve seen get a 20% reduction, I’m thinking I’m screwed & the rep just tells people that to the people it’s not working for to save face.

I just didn’t want to wear deodorant at all anymore, so I think I’m definitely one of those people who only need 1 treatment. @Triggerfish70
@Triggerfish70 3 года назад
@@jonsart5643 For the odor: First, shave your underarms. Bacteria needs a surface to exist on and hair provides significantly more area than the skin alone. Wash or refresh your towels every two days. Consider washing them a second time with two or three cups of vinegar instead of soap (just do this initially and maybe once a month). Before bed take a shower and wash your underarms with Dial brand antibacterial soap. Wash and rinse your pits once, then lather them again, wash other parts of your body then come back to rinse the soap from your pits (give the soap a bit of time to sit in place). Dry your pits thoroughly and finish with a hair dryer (if you don't have, then use paper towels to finish). Put moisturizer lotion on pits and go to bed. In the morning repeat the double Dial pit wash and blow dry and then put on your deoderant (ideally from a fresh bar or a used bar that you used a knife to cut the top layer off). Put on a fresh shirt (new or laundered with a second wash of vinegar like the towels). See how that works for reducing bacteria (source of odor) on your skin, towels, deoderant bar, and clothing and thus reducing your body odor. One day you will be able to afford either underarm botox injections, MiraDry, or some other procedure to reduce or eliminate the sweating and subsequent odor. Get back out into life now and talk to a Psychology professional about your depression. Your art is amazing. Good luck.
