I know I can't! I'm an adult skater and my jumps, for the time being, are limited to waltz and 1/2 flips! However, I am determined to work my up to, and land, an axel.
Yeah that is true, Mirai is super fast, she collided with the board in her SP for 2009 US nationals...I think she was going a bit too fast that time lol
At least she is moving past the triple lutz and trying the triple axel. That is how you start. I don't think I have known anyone who has started triple axel and not been at LEAST a half turn short.
she is so good, im so jelous! she's fourteen or fifteen i think and she is soo much better than anyone i know. thats a little underrotated, but hey, at least she can land it on one foot! as a reply to xmilaxmorelissen, she is american, not from holland. she might be training there, but as far as i know she is actually american :D
@diegokace how can you jump axel without prerotation? not only axel but loop and salcow too. they are the jumps that need prerotation. thats the figure skating jumps mechanics. watch other skaters jumps and make sure by yourself. they all prerotate. no exception.
@courtneysk8s... Uh, it's a practice,OK? P.R.A.C.T.I.C.E!! But she's almost got it. Open up ur eyes and read the title well. Or do u want me to read it for u?
That was pretty good, if only she had more speed going into it and the ice was smoother, she probably would have made the full rotation (but not landing lol)
as if she can land this on one foot! yeah fair do's it wasn't completly rotated, but IT STILL ROCKED! haha no fair i'm fourteen, i've been stuck on a double axel for only three months and i'm already sick of it haha
But if she does get the triple axel she will have a huge advantage over all the other american girls. Kimmie Meissnner is only american girl with a triple axel and Kimmie is slumping badly anyways and hasn't landed it in about 3 years.
