She never gets upset about any failures that she has had, she just picks herself up and starts all over again and takes the lessons that she has learned and moves on. She is a great woman and ahead of her time. Wow

The REAL thing! Enormous charm, intelligence and talent. MM is a joy to watch and listen to....and so well spoken. NOT a "like, awesome, journey, you know, right", or other code words for those lacking a personal vocabulary which is so commonly afflicting all classes in the USA....not to mention the ever present errors in personal pronouns, ie: I and me. American standards of "acceptable English" are in the gutter, too often. Bravo Miriam M. and other Brits who maintain a level spoken communication of which to be proud .

This is a gifted person, who is a joy to listen to.

Have been a fan of Miriam's for years and have seen her on chat shows etc, but this is the first serious interview I've seen her do. Wonderful!

Miriam Margolyes, as always, is wonderful; absolutely truthful, thoughtful, and matter-of-fact. I think she is one of the brightest truth-tellers in the English theatre. There is no one else in theatre that is as interesting, funny, and honest as Miriam. She is absolutely the most engaging person and probably the best character actress working anywhere in the world. God bless her indeed!

I love Miriam, she's a bundle of joy and so honest, I could listen to her all day. The only thing that made me sad is that she thinks everyone hates Jews. I certainly don't. I would take anyone as an individual on the way they treat other people

I'm so proud and chuffed to be regarded by Miriam as a "real pal". Best friends and near neighbours as well. She offered to perform in my idea proposal for a concert of mine where I would perform Sussmeyer's clarinet Concerto followed by his teacher's Concerto and the story of how it came about and we'd do it in costume. It remains an unrealised project due to penury on my part. Any money-bags out there want to make it happen?

A very attractive woman. In pretty much every way. And extremely underrated and overlooked regarding her talents. I agree with other comments that she should be acknowledged as a one of our top humans. I’d love to have a beer with her!

Thank you Mr. Lawson for this serious interview because it's the first time I've really gotten a feeling for who she is as a human being. I like and respect what she said about Palestine and the situation there. I briefly participated with a group in San Francisco of Jewish people who were trying to get a change of heart of the Israelis toward the Palestinians but to no avail and then I went with another group that was half Jewish and half Gentile-- which is what I am-- to Washington to Lobby Congress to try to have them put their efforts toward having a change of heart of the Israelis toward the Palestinians but that also was to no avail, athough they thanked us for coming.. I was with a Jewish friend in Santa Barbara and we went to the weekly Jewish get together where you would have lunch and chat and it was open to everyone--gentile or Jew-- & she spoke her mind regarding Palestine & the inhumane treatment of the Palestinians and she was asked to leave and so we left. I have also been there and I met Israelis & Palestinians and I will say it was the Palestinians that invited me into their home and fed me and introduced me to the multi-generational family and it was not the Israelis who offered me that type of hospitality. ACTUALLY they offered me NO hospitality and of course that could be because that is NOT their land historically as for 2,000 years the Greeks called it Palestine and the brief presence there of Jews does not make it their land in any way shape or form. Nor is it the British right to give another people's land to another people. I was surprised at what Miriam said but in retrospect I am not because she is a very clear thinking person with deep feelings. YOU have to possess both in order to respond as she did. To respond as the Israelis do and as many American Jews do you need to ONLY be in possession of one thing --either a mind or heart --but not both. When used in isolation, a mind alone or a ❤ alone-- the human being is incomplete. I realize this interview was done some time ago but I surely hope that she got to act and some of the plays she mentioned,as well as Shakespeare, because I think she would be marvelous. SHE is a jewel that has NOT truly been carefully curated by a master gemologist and hence her talents have never been tapped to the degree that they should be in order to show her brilliance.
