On this world premiere Australian tour, internationally renowned actress Miriam Margolyes brings to the stage some of literature's best known characters.
Lady Bracknell, Mrs Malaprop, Jane Austen's Lady Catherine de Bourgh, and Mrs Corney and Mr Bumble from Charles Dickens' Oliver Twist, are amongst the unforgettable figures brought vividly to life by the award-winning star of stage and screen in The Importance of Being Miriam.
In this brand new show, in which she also gives a fascinating insight into her association with many famous writers, Miriam is once again joined by acclaimed classical pianist John Martin who will delight audiences with a selection of popular music and song.
Direction is by Peter J. Adams who has also devised stage shows for Sir David Attenborough and Professor Brian Cox.
In their first appearance together since the hugely popular Dickens' Women, don’t miss Miriam Margolyes and John Martin in this strictly limited season.

Before the movie 'Re Bucket List' came out, I had only ever heard it called a life list or a before I die list. I have lost the chance at one: I always wanted to be insulted by (comedian) Don Rickles! I also want to have a conversation, regardless of length, with this delightful lady!
