After the beam leaves the tube of your Co2 laser, your mirrors are the first contact that can potentially rob your beam of power!
I noticed a premature failure of the mirrors on my machine so let’s walk through the process of replacing them together.
I trust American Photonics for all of my mirrors and lenses for my machines and you should too!

I have the 80w Pro and although I don't need any yet I decided to look for vids to see if there were any pro videos out there on this and Im so glad I found your video so that I can get new mirrors and a lens so I have them just in case my mirrors do the same thing! Thanks for the discount code also!!

Thanks for your videos on maintenance, etc. I periodically check in because you are one of the users that are knowledgeable and experienced with this equipment and clearly communicate the points you are making. I have a 150 Watt machine arriving tomorrow primarily for the much larger bed size. My first machine was a 100 watt model exactly like yours and though it was a bit of a learning curve to operate at first, it has performed well and been a real workhorse this year so I’m expanding a little in this area. If all goes well, I’ll look into more new equipment at the end of the year. I am interested in seeing how the pro line performs and I am also interested in fiber lasers so there will possibly be more additions to my shop in the future.

I have not had good luck with American photonics lenses. Maybe their mirrors are better.

That’s crazy that you are already having to change out the mirrors on the new pro line. For the price it should have AP lenses and mirrors already installed.

I made the same comments to them. Granted stuff fails on new products all the time…. I had to have service done on my brand new truck to replace a faulty wiring harness the middle of 2023.

My thoughts exactly! Hopefully it was just a bad batch of mirrors.

Where did you get the mirror removal tool? I don't have one of those in my OMTech bag. I can't find one online.

Same here. Even an EBay search only turns up something to remove a BMW mirror.

quick question... great videos by the way!! very helpful! I have the 150w 5070.... if the pro has the same tube as mine and the only difference is the swappable head (and servo motor) couldnt they technically come up with a way to have the swappable head as an upgrade of sorts for my machine?? i like the thumb screws on the pro....somehow when tightening my knobs with the nut it throws off alignment after tightening the nut..... could essentially everything be swapped out? lol
