Mirrors | Songs from the Blue Room | Shreya Devnath with Praveen Sparsh  

Mirrors is an idea that came to me when I happened to be standing in between 2 mirrors, one in front of me, and one behind, and caught my reflection split between the two, and the resultant images. In that instant, I thought, what would this be if I wanted to explore it musically? And so we have this track, where the tonic shifts from D to G and back, within the travel of the main melody, where the melody itself is identical in both keys, each a mirror image of the other. Mirrors is the fourth of a 5-track album, Songs From the Blue Room.
Songs from the Blue Room is an independent album, comprising five songs written for and expressed through the voice of the violin, with various Indian and world influences.
