For the record, it's August 20th, 2023 and I'm reminiscing due to your video. I was stationed in Misawa, Japan from 2009-2013 as an Airforce Plumber (Waters and Fuels Maintenance Technician) and was in the civil engineering squadron (CE). At the time, the majority of the "CE" folks/Airmen were housed in the dorm BEHIND yours. I would like to thank you for absorbing ALL those sonic booms from the F-16 jets taking off mid morning (0900-1100), afternoon (1300-1500) and in the evening(1800-2100). 🤣 I didn't fully watch your video, just wanted to see the layout and your window view but I'm guessing that you're in the communications (Comm) squadron? I had a couple of COMM buddies in your dorm. Anyways, it's been 3 years since you posted this vid so I'm sure you've already PCS'ed out of Misawa or may have possibly separated. Hopefully you enjoyed your tour in Misawa Japan, it's RAMEN (NOT sushi) and the unique culture. ✌ Drop some Misawa memories in a response if you're still active on your youtube channel..
Thanks for your video ! My son Arlis has been there almost two years . He said that he likes it there . I was stationed at Camp Foster in Okinawa the summers were really brutal !
I was stationed at misawa from 84 to 85 but I was in the army and I stayed in the notorious building 673 could you possibly do a tour of 673 for me and my guys we still hang out to this day SALUTE and thank you for your service and give RICHIE RICH and the RIDERS if you can domo arigato gozaimasta!
You can look up the misawa base exchange number and call it to schedule a delivery from the Dunkin. They sell cakes there and pretty sure they can write things on them too.
Dog gone, two to a room and shared a bathroom. Little bitty fridge, no microwave. Want to say 618 but that was middle 80s when I was there. Not a lot there like you folks have now.
Hi Brown, I'm client systems and I'll be arriving at Misawa here in a few days. I graduated from Keesler a few weeks ago and have been on rap and leave. What should I expect when I get to the base?
It'll probably be snowy and gross but the people you'll be working with are amazing and will be very welcoming. Unfortunately I am on leave right now so I can't show you around but you'll love it here. Get used to the snow!
