I met Doyle once after a show in Colorado Springs. He hugged me and me face came to about the middle of his chest. What a gorgeous and very nice man and what a chest. Wow! It was right after Princess Diana died and they sang "Die, die , die Diana..."
I used to own one of their 72 mustangs i began redtoring it got it painted cherry red, an Albuquerque Fire Chief wanted it, bought it.. it came from Glendale California tracked the blue plate down. Was in fact one of the bands car. We love it in Albuquerque. Its still being used. Goes to carshows. Or its about to. Its close to restored.
Hell, for me born in 1989, it’s like a genuine old-school version of the band compared to their reunion. Don’t get me wrong. Great line-up too, but not that much better than with Graves.
