After a long absence, we get around to replacing another broken part on Stella, my daily driver 240SX. I this video, I show you the tools and parts I used to get the intercooler back to spec.
If you got one laying around, sit a carpenter level on the intercooler and front frame, compare, and see if the cooler sits level or if you gotta adjust the brackets.
For me there was a vacuum like connected to the oem cold pipe to the waste gate actuator. What did you do with that line? My aftermarket cold pipe doesn’t have any nipples for that line to connect to so idk what to do with it.
You’ll need to create your own nipple on the cold pipe to give your wastegate a source of boost. Easiest route is an adapter that taps in your couple right off the turbo. A more expensive route would be an aftermarket turbo outlet to the cold pipe that incorporates a nipple you can run to the actuator (GKTech, ATP, etc). Most difficult would be to weld on your own nipple somewhere off the cold pipe.
It’s been a struggle these past few months. Really disappointed in not making any consistent uploads, but I do have another video I’m currently working on that may be out within the next month. I’m very excited to be filming again.
