pia truly deserved to be miss universe 2015, beyond deserving actually. looking back at her story here on philippine pageantry, her hard work and dedication brought her on top. steve, yes, he made a huge mistake BUT he corrected it immediately and gave justice to the TRUE winner. it just breaks my heart up until now that people on the venue were booing pia when in FACT she was the winner.

I honestly feel more sorry for Pia. She's the one that got all the hate for something she deserved. Instead of stepping down and giving the crown over to Pia, she just balled her eyes out. Pia didn't even get a chance to proudly accept the crown. She didn't get her crowning moment and people booed but she managed to stay professional and showed humility.

It's really nice to see Harvey taking responsibility when it wasn't entirely his fault. It was also the people back stage. Even said that theyd announce the real winner the next day but Harvey disagreed and stepped up stage and faced backlash too. Tho Miss Columbia NEVER deserved that crown anyway🙄

3 years later, watching this video, I hope since then, she realizes she did not respond to her defeat with grace. She was adamant in placing accountability on the organization as well as Steve. I hope she realizes that she wasn't purposefully mistreated by anyone; she was just heartbroken, enraged, and embarrassed about her defeat. As someone who is expected to exude grace, humility, and wisdom, it should not have taken her that long to get over it and she never should have used social media to protest. Grace is humbly walking away from things not meant for us. Wisdom is accepting the things we cannot change. Steve expressed sincere remorse. Her; just indignant self-righteous and entitlement. This was a valuable lesson for all involved.

Some people are saying she is being dramatic. Well, this pageant was so important to her. She had to work hard for it, and knowing that you just got humiliated in front of thousands of people is so embarrassing. Something though, she is a little rude. Steve was trying to be calm, but she sounded so angry and bitter.

When this first happened, I thought Steve made a careless error and that he didn’t really care. Seeing this, I now know his character. He didn’t have to have her on his show. It wasn't Harvey's fault for that blunder. It was that ridiculous tournament award's system for bizarrely listing 1st place for runner ups when 1st place always goes to winners! Kudos to Harvey for salvaging the show. It's them who should've apologised!
