I'm a Filipina but I feel so sorry for Miss Colombia. That would be so humiliating and devastating. I also don't think she meant any harm on her words. It's just that she have a hard time speaking english and that's understandable. People should stop hating her tbh.

why did she ask for an interpreter during the competition if she's fluent in speaking the English language?

I actually think she should be grateful (not that she isn't) for the mistake. if Steve hadn't made it, she would be simply an insignificant runner up who failed her country HAD he gotten it right the first time and said PIA's name. But now she has so much publicity and is even more famous than Pia. I almost feel like she is getting more attention than she deserves (not that she doesn't deserve it considering what happened) but in the sense that its taking away from the fact that Pia essentially is the real Miss Universe.

I've watched all of Ariadna's interview video on this channel and I must say that she's such a lovely person. She's very positive in accepting her fate. And so I think the fans should be moving forward as well. You go, girl! You sure have a big and wonderful future ahead of you because of your attitude and class. Love from the Philippines!

I'm beginning to like her, I'm Filipino but I also find Ariadna pretty and funny as well.

Ariadna(2:44): "You (Steve) have to know. I was like talking great things about you like the whole time during rehearsals. I was like saying to everybody like, oh my God I love Steve Harvey! I really did that!" Steve: Clap clap clap! Ariadna: "And then you mistaken. I was like why am I talking good about him!?!" XD That one straight-forward answer made me laugh! It was funny and cute. Steve Harvey you can really really breathe now! ;)

She's very down to earth and full of life and very energetic. She have a big heart.

Without this mistake, most of us would've never heard of these women and they would've fizzled into beauty pageant history (except maybe in their home countries). Now the WHOLE WORLD knows them, especially Ariadna. The exposure is priceless and hopefully all the pain she suffered and tears she cried will be for something because of this mistake. Things happen for a reason - it's only a matter of time before all of Ariadna's sacrifices and this stroke of "luck" pay off. I see big things for her. She is already a well spoken, beautiful and resourceful young woman. That together with this unprecedented exposure will pay off big time.

Im hispanic myself and I didn't feel humiliated when that happened. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. Its live TV and mistakes happen all the time. Of course we Latinos take Miss Universe way too serious, but her attitude is what really bothered me. Once the mistake was announced and the teleprompter finally showed the name of the winner, and the whole Miss Universe crew was shouting, making signs to you and Paulina (who happen to be Ary's cousin). Paulina instead of taking the crown from you, stood there, smiling awkwardly instead of putting the crown right to the winner. Same as you, stood there awkwardly even when the Miss Universe crew was already giving you directions. As well as being so dry to Pia who wanted to hug you, who even messaged you, who has nothing but kind words for you. Seriously... Really disappointed. Ariadna is such a beautiful woman and has a great body but i cant stand her attitude. Understandable at the moment you could say, but after.. Damn childish.

I cry every time I watch this because so many people were hurt and effected by a horrible mistake that could have happened to any host and as a matter of fact, it has. It happened to Alan Thicke when he hosted the Miss World Pageant. My heart goes out to Ary because for a split second she knew what it felt like to be Miss Universe and at the same time how it felt to have your dream taken away. I feel horrible for Steve because it was an honest mistake and you can tell how sorry and how much this hurt his heart that this happened to her. I think people just need to learn to have compassion and forgive.

For all those people complaining about her English and why she had to use an interpreter, give the girl a break! Spanish is her first language, her native language, her mother tongue. She's more comfortable expressing herself in Spanish and she has a wider vocabulary in Spanish than she does in English. Let her be. Quit being such meanies. P.S. This is coming from a linguist.

I love her. Miss Columbia is so sweat and kind hearted woman ! If she wasn't a nice and kind hearted person she would have not even came to his show! If there was anyone else would not even want to go through that harsh event anymore or even see this host anymore! She truly is a very strong woman and lots of confidence ! She is just being herself ! She is not fake! She is also a happy and fun woman who doesn't think this world is abut making fun of each other or make everything like a controversy ! I never felt angry even for Miss Colombia. The people voted, the judges voted, and Colombia and Philippines are back to back on that competition. 3 years later and I still feel that both truly are amazing women deserving of the crown. And I never thought of Ariadna making fuss. She wants to console herself on the mess-up, and never intended that as a mock up. She is humble, too, like Pia. And she is amazing. Steve Harvey is still Steve Harvey so that's it. Love reminiscing these in 2018.

Being a Filipino of course I was happy that Philippines had won. However, if Miss Columbia had actually won, I would have been happy as well because she would have deserved it. She's very beautiful & smart. I felt bad for the error that caused her to feel humiliated but she shouldn't have felt that way because she didn't do anything wrong. I can't get over how beautiful this lady is. She's more beautiful than most Hollywood stars

Ariadna and Pia are both different people. They both (and so are the another contestants in the MU pageant) deserve to win because they all worked hard to even just get into the MU pageant. But we all know that only one will be the winner and be Miss Universe. Ariadna speaks her mind, she is like every other Colombian; brave, strong and passionate. I also felt sorry for her as she was stripped down from the crown.. But to people who are saying that the crown was taken from her, it wasn't.. because in the first place, she didn't even win. But still, she did great and she made her country proud and she handled some interviews well and that's one of the many reasons why Miss Colombia is loved by not just her fellow people but the people around the world. Pia, our Miss Universe won from her scores online, from the crowd and to the judges, Pia was there bet. She showed grace and confidence, being fierce and elegance. And to her evening gown and the Q&A's, she stole the show. Even though I'm a fellow Filipino, right then and there did I know that Pia will take home the crown. As I look back at her social media posts, there would always be #ConfidentlyBeautiful Hashtags, so I never knew that she would use it in her answer.. which is one of the most beautiful things she had ever done because it just goes to show how Confidently Beautiful she truly is. And let us also stop the fight and show peace to others. We are all human! And like the girls, let us accept and move on.
