Back on the water and it's a nice day to run the Miss Geico 36" Twin. It's a great looking Catamaran capable of blistering speeds on water. The only concern is that the Hull strength can be in question. We set out to test it with the 2 battery configuration and some strong Zeee 7000mah 100c batteries. Pro Boat claims 50 - 65mph with the 2 battery setup depending on mah a c-rating. We look to achieve 65mph stock out of the box, no tuning or anything.

Parallel connectors essentially combine the capacity. Series connectors combine the voltage. Two 3500mah 3S batteries in parallel will work like a single 7000mah 3S battery. Two 3500mah 3S batteries connected in series will work like a single 3500mah 6S battery.

I really like the water cooled system and fiberglass hull. Plus it's just a great looking boat and fast, with more speed potential. Good technical info and video.

I just did the carbon fiber inlay on mine. I ran 3 inch wide cf stripes along ALL seams. Also, the reason why the battery tray brakes loose is not because of the glue. Its because the bottom flexes when it flips and hits the water causing the tray mount glue to break off. Adding carbon fiber reduces the flexing drastically. Carbon fiber is very necessary on this hull. Glad you were able to get another one. Hope shes holding up.

Nice run. Adjust your strut angle down a touch. That should help with keeping the nose down. And as mentioned below , Running 2 6s batteries one to each esc is the same as running 4 3s batteries in series . I have a Zelos 36 and the Miss Gieco 36 . Love these boats. Have fun. Oh and build your self a rescue boat.

I'm sorry but if you run ONE 6s battery to each ESC then you'll have 22,2v (6s) to each motor...if you run 4 3s batteries in series you'll have 44,4v (12s) to the motors. So no it's not the same. One 6s battery per ESC is the same as 2 3s batteries in series per ESC tough. Also the "s" in "6s" stands for "series" and means that the battery pack is made of 6 cells in series (all lipo cells are 3,7v) you could also have a pack that says "6s2p" and that pack is made of 12 cells connected 6 in series and 2 parallel for higher amp draw
@goin4brokerc
@goin4brokerc 2 года назад
@@joccee88 its only 6S to each ESC. first you remove the stock adapter which connects to both ESCs. Then you need 2 separate series adapters (sold separately)for each ESC. And then (2) 3S batteries are connected in series to each ESC separately to create 6S to each ESC. That's how I run it with 4 batteries. Check out the latest video we made of it with the (4) 3S battery setup.

I heard the hull is pretty cheap from other videos. Fragile is one person said in his video. Other then that he said the electronics are good. Still looking at the blackjack also. Kind of torn between witch one I should get. What is your opinion on this boat and the blackjack. There were good reviews on the blackjack unlike the miss geico witch had some pros but as many cons. Have to make up my mine on this one way or another. Any help with that would be great.
@goin4brokerc
@goin4brokerc Год назад
The Hull on the Geico is fragile and needs to be strengthened. Some guys are doing Carbon/Epoxy inlays and similar to strengthen it. The Electronics and cooling are good to go. No upgrades needed. And it's fast and turns good stock out of the box. Looks stunning as well. But more than likely, sooner or later, if you drive it 75mph and have a bad crash, it will damage the hull if not strengthened. Never had the Blackjack but I have a SonicWake with the same type Hull material as the Blackjack, and it is has some flex and can take 55mph crashes no problem. So I'm assuming the slower speeds stock and different Hull material, would make the Blackjack the more durable option. I'm going to get one for the channel soon.

Why would Horizon refund a boat when you crashed it??!
@goin4brokerc
@goin4brokerc 2 года назад
I didn't actually crash into anything, the boat flipped at high speed (80+) and came down hard and bad. I had to send the boat back to them so they could inspect the damage and process the refund. All it takes is one bad high speed flip over to potentially damage the fiberglass hull because the boat is so fast.

The amount of batteries has nothing to do with how fast it is. There’s plenty of geico running over 90 with two 6s batteries
@goin4brokerc
@goin4brokerc 2 года назад
Not stock out of the box my guy. Guys are getting over 90mph and even 100mph with 2 batteries only with Dasbota and other upgraded props not stock. And 4 batteries (2 in series) to each ESC does make it faster that's why they have that option. I know from experience with the last boat.

@jaycevessier7554
@jaycevessier7554 2 года назад
@@goin4brokerc the only reason the mph would change is because the boat is more stable with 4 batts because of the extra weight. Sorry man it’s just been proven time and time again. The only thing 4 batts does is make it’s heavier and runs longer, not faster
@goin4brokerc
@goin4brokerc 2 года назад
@@jaycevessier7554 I read your first comment wrong. Yes guys get over 90mph with (2) 6S batts. I'm referring to the (2) 3S batteries like in the vid, connected with parallel connectors not (2) 6S batts that you referred to. (4) 3S batteries... where (2) SETS of 3S batts are connected in series with series adapters to create 6S going to each ESC which makes it just as fast as running with (2) 6S like u mentioned. Surely you see my point and that is what is suggested in the owners manual.. Going to do a video anyway with (2) 3S vs. the (4) 3S batteries in series to show all. 4 batts does helps stabilize the boat like you mentioned.

Depends on batts. The 3S 7000mah in the vid usually last about 5 - 6 min. Running (4) 3S or (2) 6S batts with same 7000mah should get me increased run time but I havent run it with those setups to know the run time just yet. Will be doing a vid soon showing that tho.
