best singers is a program where artists come together in a nice setting, where every week one of the singers sits on the couch with the presenter and he or she conducts an interview about how his or her life has gone, and they also tell how certain songs came about. others receive a set list with his or her favorite songs or songs that have ever touched them and perform them in their own way
Concept Beste Zangers: Each episode focuses on a singer for whom every other singer has chosen a song to sing. At the end of the episode the singer who is the central singer in that episode chooses the song that "hit" him/her the most. It's not really a competition, but more an appreciation for the other singers.

The show takes 7 singers from different genres. In each of the 7 episodes one is placed central and the other 6 sing a song that has some kind of meaning for that person. The song can be anything from a memory or an own song, it seems each singer needs to make a list of songs where the others can chose from. In the show they talk about the story behind it and that can be emotional up to very funny. Because the different genres of the singers they can change the song with translating the lyrics or even convert the song in a different genre the singer is comfortable with like Rolf Sanchez did a latino version of Hotel California and a Spanish version of All by myself (both for sure ones to watch). But some do step out their own comfort zone and sing in a different genre. Then there is an 8th episode which is a fun episode singing duets. Each singer must chose one other to sing a duet with. It is no competition, just a gathering to learn (from) each other and share stories.

No, he wrote the song. It was the Belgian entry for the Eurovision Songcontest in 1989. It was sung by a female singer called Ingeborg. It was not really a success. That is why Stef Bos was pleasantly surprised that Sanne Hans (that is her real name) had chasen this song, and had made a completely different version of it.

OK, here we go. Participants are good singers of the Netherlands or Flanders. They get invited 6 months prior. Each participant gets a list of songs of other paricipants that are special to them. They are free to sing any (other) song from each other's repertoire or from that list. Then, they must go to a remote place, alone, no children, no managers, no wives/husbands. There they will spend 10 days with each other. Some rehearsals with the band, but mostly recording the show. They usually bond together very deeply in those 10 days. Every night there is one in the "hot seat". He/she won't sing that night but instead the others sing from his/her repertoire or from the list. Usually it is out of their normal singing style. I saw an opera singer doing a rap of eminem for example (and pulling it off). Each will explain what the song will be they perform and why. Because of the bonding in the group, the stories in between the songs can run deep and emotional. I would recommend Floor Jansen her performances (metal singer at the Finnish band Nightwish). She finally broke through in her home country the Netherlands because of it. It also started off her (not so metal) solo career.
There are versions with English subtitles. Now you have no idea what she singing about. And yes, he sweared. It was his song she was singing. Each episode is deducated to one of the singers and most use a song of him/her and give it their own ‘sauce’. ‘The best singers’ gave us some great versions in the past years. But again… use subtitles 😅
