She was considered with wild card when Courtney Gibbs won the fourth crown and was then forgotten once Gretchen Polhemus became the 5th winner.

1970 and 1978 are by far the prettiest. 1974 how did she win and if Michigan would've won in 1976 USA would've placed at Miss Universe.

Miss USA 1966 was Miss California, Maria Remenyi; Miss USA 1967 was Miss Alabama, Sylvia Hitchcock (Miss Universe), replaced by 2nd runner-up Miss Florida, Cheryl Ann Patton, after 1st runner-up Miss California, Susan Bradley, refused the crown.

Miss USA had won 4 of the first 16 MU titles, from 1952 to 1967. Deborah's win (much deserved) would've made it 5 of 19. That's a lot of titles compared to the rest of the world.
