Miss World 1975, the 25th edition of the Miss World pageant, was held on 20 November 1975 at the Royal Albert Hall in London, UK.
Winner Puerto Rico - Wilnelia Merced
1st Runner-up Germany - Marina Langner[3]
2nd Runner-up United Kingdom - Vicki Harris[3]
3rd Runner-up Cuba - Maricela Maxie Clark

According to the article of Julio Rodriguez Matute only one vote separated miss Puerto Rico and Miss Germany. Eric Morley always voted for Germany and wanted her to win and he also tried to eliminate Puerto Rico from entering top 7. But PR got enough votes from the other judges

I was looking for Sophia St Omer,zMiss World St Lucie, though not placed, but was a first for St Lucia 's beauty industry, just a small horistocal fact, wish you well Sophia whever you are in the world.

Thank you, you were always my great love. I tell you this MW 1975 was the first time it was broadcast in Venezuela and in 1972 the MU this contest has a meaning for us and you downloaded the video thank you very much.

I can't believe Miss South Africa didn't advance to the final 7. She was one of the most beautiful girls of the competition.

I am shocked that Miss United Kingdom did not win. She was SO beautiful.....a real standout not just for 1975, but the entire 70s at Miss World. She should have at least been runner up to Miss World. Miss Puerto Rico however, was also a very good choice to be sure.

Nah … Ms UK (as Ms England) didn’t even break the Top 5 in the 1975 MsU held in El Salvador.

I have to say good thought, beautiful lady from Cuba, but there has not been an oficial beauty queen contest there , so how come someone from Cuba participated, Cuba goverment was against this.

Great video. From St. Lucia. Same age as MS. St. Omer. What a treat in July 2020. 45 years later. Imagine that. I'm sure they still look great in their early 60s.:-)

The most beautiful in that year was Miss Cuba. She deserved to win, but I think for political reasons she didn't win. Miss Saint Lucia was also very stunning....
