A casual day of railfanning near Tyrone, Pennsylvania, yielded several pleasant surprises. Two Operation Lifesaver engines, a local with standard cab power,, and two NS heritage units, Interstate and Pennsylvania. The PRR unit was a near miss as it emerged from behind an eastbound train where a last second decision to move to a higher elevation cost me a perfect coming-and-going meet. Still, any day railfanning beats a day at work, and overall this was a damn good one.
