Beautiful coaster and excellent video. Thank you for sharing. My mother used to make similar (although not using the MC she chained three, and made a circle with it to crochet into). She used acrylic yarn for the coasters. But she would make much larger circles in cotton, making two circles and stitching them together to make hot pads to set hot pans or dishes on straight from the oven. Your design has brought back some happy memories of my childhood watching her crochet and her teaching me to crochet. Thanks again, have a wonderful day. With love from Scotland. 🙏💙
Yes you did mention the change in hook number n it seemed thicker but since no mention was made about the yarn, I was wondering. How do I increase the diameter of the base
Hi Sara those are lovely. I know what I can make with that stitch. Some of my friends have asked me if I can make them so coasters, cause when they have their family and grandchildren come to visit them they always leave her tables all wet from their drinks. I could make a bunch of different colors and surprise them with a bunch of coasters. Thanks for sharing the tutorial and the idea on what to make. 👋.
I want to increase the rounds to make about approx 11-12 inch place mat After the 2 chain in the beginning of each line how many dc in the same space as the chain You have shows up to 5 rounds but how will i start the 6 th round Is it always 2 dc in the same same chain space or does it differ ?
Round 5 - 2dc, dc, dc, dc (repeating for round 5)..... Round 6- 2dc, dc, dc, dc, dc (repeating ) Round 7- 2dc, dc, dc, dc, dc, dc (repeating) hope u understand Always consider first 2 ch as 1dc, So i worked (3ch+1dc=2dc)
Further to my earlier comment , i get confused because in dome row in the chain space you do one dc n in other u do 2dc in the same chain space Sorry to bother you I m 84 years old and learning crochet now Takes time to understand!
