I Used LBC One Time & The Box Was Opened & Items Missing That Was 9 Years Ago We Now Use U-Mac & Never Ever Have Had A Problem.

Yellow fin tuna 🍣 is good to be consumed one a month or so…it has lots of mercury. Salmon 🍣 is better. Very expensive in the USA 🇺🇸 $40 - $200 per pound. Stay healthy y’all. Love ❤️ the Sunday market tho 😊

Sorry to hear your items in your Balikbayan box were stolen. We have shipped many Balikbayan boxes through UMAC and never had one issue (knock on wood). Boxes were shipped to Manila, Negros and Bicol, all went through Manila port, none of them damaged or even open.

Ill have to try that. A friend just gave me some tuna from a fishing trip. That's a bummer about the balikbayan boxes. Manila airport, and custom's, has a reputation for theft.

You file a complain to LBC. I heard they have bad reputation like missing item sometimes they open from the bottom of the box so nobody will noticed it. That’s what I heard from others. I never used LBC I scared

When I was still little living in Pinas prior to me moving here in the States, my parents & family used to send us balikbayan packages especially for Christmas. One hundred percent of the time, something is stolen out of it. I remember one of the packages had a toy I asked for and it was stolen. Back then, there weren't any online banking of ways to send money except through the mail with a check. Eight out of ten times, it would never reach us. My parents & family used to send money through someone going back home. I remember the envelopes used to say ... " through the kindness of ... " whoever's hand delivering the money because that's the only way it would safely reach us. I'm sorry that happened to you and it's still happening. People are becoming more desperate because of the global inflation that's being pushed on us.

Tune is good but T have been looking to get some thresher shark which is very good to BBQ, it taste just like swordfish. You need to get it fresh of coarse and it's to marinade it teriyaki sauce. I know they have plenty of thresher sharks here in the Philippines but not sure if the fishermen ever catch them and bring them to market but they sure make great steaks and would often have them back in California where my brother in law worked at a fish market in Redondo Beach.

Hello family, It is good to see you enjoying the Philippines. The kids keep on growing, I see. The other day, I cooked yellow fin tuna, too, but I air fried my 4 pieces and they turned out great. This year hurricane wise we had only one and it was north and off the Golf. It was a very hot summer and then the temp dropped 20-25 f just overnight. I might go to there hopefully soon and I have in mind to spend a few days in Cebu City and I might get a 3 bedrooms condo near Ayala Mall, at Avalon Condos, which are across from the side of Ayala that burned down about 6 yrs ago. like that you could come up and stay a weekend with me, it all depends if my eye Dr releases me to be able to travel. I had 2 months ago retinal detachment surgery on my left eye and so far everything is going fine, so this coming Monday, the eye Dr will let me know. With Christmas coming up I will have to reserve my ticket very soon, I came up with very good deals with Emirates Air (I have flown with them before) Orlando-NY-Dubai-Cebu City and then Clark $1200. They have a direct flight to Dubai but it is almost 15 hrs. I will keep in touch family. God blessed.
