She was burned in Rouen, a town occupied by the english. Previously, she had been sent to the english by the duke of Burgundy, who had by then betrayed France, had openly allied the english and tried to carve himself an independent kingdom. The only way one could say she was burned by "the French" is a - if you blame the french king and him only for her ultimate fate, as he pretty much betrayed her, or at least, withdrew all political and military support b - if you consider that the english nobility was, by all standards, still french at the time (though this was slowly changing). Her death caused quite an outrage within unoccupied France.
Can't believe you left out Calard de Garamont. That guy is literally a legendary lord! Albeit one that never saw the tabletop or had rules. But true Bretonnian fans will know him. Plus, c'mon, he's just awesome.
Vlad the Manpire They'll have to go to fan-made army books for those, since Kislev got kicked after either fourth or fifth edition with Dogs of War being dropped around the same time. Would be so cool though. Also don't forget Albion; we need Celts, Druids, Fomori, and other bits of Celtic folklore inspired units dammit!!!
I'm surprised that Malloboude the Black Knight wasn't included in this. He is an extremely important Bretonnian character, kind of the Arkhan to Louen's Settra. He also functions as the Mordred character of Bretonnia while Gilles is Arthur
Bohemond Beastslayer is soooo fucking cool. Dude was able to stand alongside Abhorash and the Green Knight against endless hordes of Skaven. Any guy that can stand with those two legends is a badass in my book
Great video! My favourites for potential future legendary lords would have to be Repanse de Lyonesse, Tancred Duc de Quenelles, Armand de Aquitaine (although they'd probably need to bend the lore a bit to make him the actual duke of Aquitaine) and Bohemond Duke of Bastonne. I think they've already given the name Bohemond to the Bastonne faction leader (although without any special items or unique appearance). I got him as a legendary lord after confederating with Bastonne, and he promptly became my most badass general, earning the title of "Moonslaker" after defeating Manfred von Carstein in battle. That experience has made me quite partial to the idea of having him as a legendary lord! :P But Repanse de Lyonesse is probably my favourite potential lord, given her great backstory and potential faction effects due to her being a peasant risen to lordship after great deeds in battle. Faction-wide leadership and other combat buffs to peasant units, maybe?
Also regarding Tancred, if you play as Argwylon you can see the Abbey nearby. So Kemmler can eventually get the Vlad treatment and get his own faction with a new Lord for the faction being Krell.

No but CA could fudge it plus I think some of the first grail knights lived a very long time thanks to the blessing of the lady so they could go down that path.
Finally someone who actually knows what he's talking about. I used to play bretonnia back in the 90s. To me Warhammer is bretonnia, greenskins, lizardmen and elves. The lizardmen and bretonnia always came together in the big boxes and my did they have cool looking models! People on youtube keep saying that they covered all of bretonnia's units but they obviously never actually browsed a bretonnian army book. There's plenty of stuff still missing in Total war warhammer (unless they removed it in the later editions of which I suppose is possible). I never understood why the Empire grew so popular, bretonnia is the ultimate order faction. They banish greenskins, vampire cunts, and chaos using nothing but chivalry, holy light and honour! I'm also not a huge fan about the fan made conspiracy that the lady of the lake has to be an elven goddess... If sigmar can pretend to be a god then I think the bretonnia's deserve a god of their own as well. Anyways that part is official now so I guess I just have to accept it.
@@ksanbahlyngwa1998 Yes and no, their relation to the peasants are similar to how it was in real medieval france. They have no rights and they are considered expendable in war however they are also protected through the chivalric code. It is a nobles duty to protect the weak from harm, even the lowly peasants. There are examples in lore when they don't give a shit about them though so I suppose it is fair to say they treat them unfairly. This is why the Merry men (or faceless as they were later renamed) were born. They are basically a band of heroes, farmers and even nobles who value the chivalric code above nobility and federal power.
The way a boarspear works in reality is actually the following. The dogs provoke the the boar and get it to charge/flee out f its hiding place. Outside of it the hunting party is positioned with its boar spears. Those are as you said poles with a relatively broad crossguarded blade on the end. The hunters esentially brace the spear to the ground with its rear end and let the boar charge into it. The blade will be driven into the beast and the crossguard will (hopefully) stop the boar from getting to the wielder. The problem is that a wild hog can still be quite a threat after sustaining ctastrophic injuries.
I've been playing ultimate General Civil War. It's a game that was made by a guy who used to make mod fixes for Total War for Pure game mechanics AI and features I absolutely prefer his game's to Total War Quite frankly I would love to see what he could do with Warhammer
These lords could be in the campaign map as their own country's primary lord/leader, only unplayable. There would be too many legendary lords for people to pick from if even half of these guys were integrated by CA. Eh. What do I know anyways? anything can happen.
first of all awesome vids dude i am binge watching them while my boy teeths! i think bretonia got forgotten simply because they just cant grow the same way many of the other factions lore wise because they are too bound by athurian lore and frenchness (i am tired leave me be). While I don't really like the bretonians i think they need a nepolian to get rid of all these knight wankers and propell them into a cultural rebirth, they are not in bad company being alongside the way more interesting chaos dwarves.
Maybe Repanse might get bonuses if she has Grail Knights they get bonuses because the lady of the lake and all that. And maybe the Grail Knights can get bonuses back from Repanse.

In what year, ic, is Total War Warhammer set in? I ask because in The CK2 Warhammer mod, Duchess Repanse of Lyonesse in a playable character and the mod starts in 2010 IC.
Francisco well CA tend to make it close to the 8th edition mean near the end time, but they said there is no actually time line, they just want to stick as much lords and factions as possible
Emperor Karl Franz was crowd in IC 2502, and the Total War: Warhammer campaign begins with his coronation. In the tabletop game the year IC 2522 was considered the "current" year. After that the End Times began and the world was destroyed by Chaos a few years later.
Honestly apart from odo "i think anyway" all the brettonian lords are just plain ripper off from french and english knights and lords really just a lazy faction
